Can we please just ignore this assclown from now on? Or at least until a few of us get Ph.Ds in astronomy.

Yeah but I need something entertaining to read when I guiltily/obsessively check this thread...

Anyone else still applying? I know its a little late, but i figure without real rolling admissions why not?

Anyways, almost ready to send, just need to cut six words off of my 250...

I applied on Jan 1 and went complete Jan 10. I am wondering how long I'll have to wait to receive my ding... I wish I'd applied earlier just so the cycle could be over now!

I'm currently also in the midst of finalizing my app, as a result of far too much procrastination on my 250 over the last several months.

I miss Ned. I wish he hadn't withdrawn from the thread. And for the record, I was not making fun of those with Asperger's.

Did anyone else have this feeling after receiving the rejection letter (after the initial sadness and resignation)?

Yale you're so quiet sometimes it freaks me out and it almost borders on being moody.

Just received my rejection letter. I'm actually very happy, very pleased at their punctuality. I hate how so many other schools just waitlisted me; it's becoming a huge headache and I appreciate Yale's clarity.

Have all the letters been postmarked 2/6? Just wondering whether the rejections are trickling out or going in waves. :S

Is it worth applying to Yale at this point? did 3/4 of the application, butnot the 250 word essay. i didn't think i had a prayer, but then i read about yale's admission process. can my URM status, strong softs, and leadership experience make up for my 170 lsat score and 3.75 GPA? or am i wasting my $90?

I realize the timing of this post reflects poorly on me, but i really didn't think i had a shot until i realized that someone w/ lower stats was admitted last year...

If I was in your position, I would spend the money. You don't want to spend the rest of your life wondering "what if?" I didn't apply broadly enough for grad school a few years ago and have regretted it every since.

Thanks for the encouragement! I just wrote a 250 word essay that was unredeemable, so must come up with a new topic. Yale doesn't request a diversity statement, so I'm trying to decide if I should attach my 2-page DS as an addendum. I may just condense the DS into the 250 statement bc I don't want make my application too long, but somehow I feel like that isn't the purpose of the 250 word essay...Thoughts?

In the diversity packet they sent me a while ago there were quite a few 250 word essays that read like mini diversity statements so it's totally doable. If I were you though I'd condense my DS into 1 page and write a 250 on a separate topic. That gives you more space to present yourself in different ways.

Thank you! This is my gut feeling as well. Now, to choose a topic...Is there anywhere to look at successful 250s from admitted students? I found the PS and DS pages super helpful. If anyone is willing to share their 250 essay, please PM me. I would greatly appreciate it:)

I think there are some here http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 18&t=68738. Not all are admits but it'll give you a sense of what people do.

I'll PM you mine though I no longer think it's that great lol.

Please PM me if you are willing to quickly look over my 250 word essay at some point before 10pm tomorrow. I would greatly appreciate any feedback I can get! I would offer to swap essays, but doubt anyone else on this page is applying to YLS at the 11th hour...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
