YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
SO totally stoked right now.
CONGRATS!!
Thanks. I had a mature break-up talk with my now ex last night and I was having a hard time getting out of bed, digesting the changes of no longer having her in my life etc. when my dad rolls in with "Stanford on the phone!"
Life is so strange. So strange. But good. So good.
Good luck to the rest of you in these days of calls!
Haha, congrats! If only all break ups went so well.

I got an additional LOR from my boss over summer, it's decent but nothing spectacular. Think I should wait and submit it if I get waitlisted, or just send it in now?

How many did you send in? I'd probably wait.

What kind of job? FWIW I submitted 3 initially: 1 UG, 1 Grad, 1 boss - all were targeted to Stanford and what I specifically want to do there

It was an internship at a legal aid firm (does public interest work). Only one of my letters was targeted to SLS though.

Hope this question isn't too annoying. I submitted my application on 11/25 and heard from my undergraduate pre-professional advisor that the dean's certification had been sent as of 12/14, but the status checker is still showing form B as missing. I thought they might just not have received it before the office closed for the holidays, which would be understandable (though somewhat torturous for me), but it's still not showing up. Then again, it might just take them more than four days to process all of the things they've received since the beginning of the holiday break.
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts regarding whether or not I should contact the admissions office. I don't want to be a pest, but if there's a problem, it seems best not to wait too long to figure it out... right?

I'd just give them a call. They're extremely friendly in the admissions office. Maybe wait a few days if you want to see if it gets processed last minute. I know a few people earlier in the cycle had small issues with getting their Form B processed, and a simple phone call cleared it all up.

Hey, thanks so much for the quick/friendly response! I'll mull it over and decide whether to go for it now or at the end of the week.

So any official answer to the transcript update (LSAC/email or both) question? If not I will ask them tomorrow when I stop in.

No problem. Personally, I would wait until Friday and see if it gets processed, if not just give them a quick call

I emailed the office yesterday letting them know that I had sent an updated transcript to LSAC and gave a brief overview of my grades. I asked if they wanted a transcript sent directly to their office instead or in addition to the one sent through LSAC. I got a response today: "Thank you for your email" - so not very insightful but I figured if I did something wrong they would've told me.

Sorry for leaving you guys in the dark. I e-mailed them last night asking how to handle it. Got this response:
Please send your updated transcript to LSAC.

Mine was still missing after 2 weeks and when I called they (very nicely) checked my file and it wasn't there. My adviser faxed another to them and I was all set within 2 days. It's totally worth calling.

I was just in a similar situation...the certificate was sent from my school on dec 9 and as of this morning I was still incomplete with the certificate missing. I went ahead and emailed yesterday and got a response today saying they had the form and that I was complete and ready for review. I don't know if I would have gone complete today had I not asked about the form yesterday. Probably would have, but my point is, if you're wondering about it, go ahead and just ask...or if you can stick it out you'll most likely go complete in a few days

I agree! I had my program chancellor fax it in and as soon as they emailed me that it was sent I got on the phone and called Stanford. I went complete within an hour.

Hey everyone, thanks for your input re the dean's cert!
Edit: I just called--lo and behold, they haven't received it. We'll see how long it takes for the checker to update... I'm crossing my fingers that my undergraduate advising dean's office will send it to them without delay.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
