Yeah that's about what I expected. Oh well, shot in the dark, I'm obviously still taking UGA.

Is anyone planning on going out Sat night after ASW is over? Seems like its over around 5 and if everyone is leaving after I might as well drive back to Atlanta and skip the hotel.

If my UG squad is playing in the elite 8 during the ASD reception, it's going to be very hard to concentrate.

I will definitely be out. By birthday is Monday, so I will be celebrating Saturday. Magnolias is where I'll be.
If ASD is over at 5:00 (I haven't really checked), you should head to Terrapin after. For $10 you get 8 tickets (each ticket equals a half of a cup) and a souvenir glass. They usually have a band, and you can tour the brewery. It's a good ways from downtown, though, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have to take a taxi. It would be a little pricey.

FWIW, there will be wine and beer at the reception. Pregame for free!

While I'm thinking about it, I would like to make a recommendation. When any of you come to visit, make sure you eat at the Blind Pig at least once. It is on Baldwin Street, less than half a mile walking distance from the law school. There are great restaurants downtown in Athens, but Blind Pig literally has some of the best food I have ever tasted. I have eaten there over 50 times, and everything on the menu is great.

I did this last time I visited and it was a lot of fun. Also, I went to a southern restaurant called Weaver D's for lunch and it was really good.

I'll be in Athens starting Thursday night to get a head start on finding housing, meeting up with some old friends, and hopefully going out. I won't be able to hang out after ASD because I have to catch a flight, but Thurs or Fri night is fine with me.

They just randomly upped my scholarship from 5k/year to 7.5k/year. Hmmm... Warm weather sounds nice.

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
They just upped mine randomly from a tuition reduction (1 semester of in-state tuition) to a tuition equalization (2 semesters of in-state tuition.) Too bad I have zero confidence that they can get me a job in SF.stlisforlovers wrote:They just randomly upped my scholarship from 5k/year to 7.5k/year. Hmmm... Warm weather sounds nice.

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
now I hate you even more. I'm trying to get something, anything out of UGA on top of my in state tuition. Should I send another email (they said check back with them in a few weeks) before ASW? I feel like after ASW it would seem like i'd lose some leverage..stlisforlovers wrote:I'm OOS (but I got the tution equalization thing previously) and it's through email.
