Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
According to the website, average debt at graduation for 2010 was $115, 000 (not sure if that is the mean or median). According to the reported ABA data, the median grant was $15, 490. 47% of students receive some form of grant aid.abitaman6363 wrote:Does anyone know where I can find financial aid statistics for HLS?
I know they don't offer merit-based, but do they compensate for that in the need-based area? I was looking for average assistance per student and average debt at graduation.
Thanks for the help! Just got accepted today and already wondering how the heck I'm supposed to pay for it all.

A lot will depend on current assets/parent resources--I'm an older student (over the parental contribution threshold age) + broke with no assets or major income so I suspect my grants will be decent (judging by people I spoke with last year, I'll be surprised if my grants are less than $20, 000). But I'd be interested in hearing more from anyone who knows anything.

However, it's supposed to be 45 degrees and windy outside tomorrow. Ugh, I need a hobby.

Yeah I thought it was basically every Monday starting on THAT Monday (so, for us, it would December 6th, I'm guessing).4for44 wrote:Second round of JR2s was Dec 7 (mon) last year FWIWConfused7 wrote:A few days before Christmas if my memory of last year's thread is correct...Obi-Wan Kenobi wrote:Any indication when the next round of JR2s will go out?

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
When did you guys submit your application?
My application was sent in at 11/5
Currently My status says : Under Committee Review (date: 11/16/10)
I'm not sure how fast they send out JR?
I guess NO one gets in without JR?
Do they just call you or send out a prior notice?
Fill me in someone please!!!!!!!!

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
I don't know how much Harvard likes me, but I wanted to point out that anything within ~2 weeks is considered normal for a JR1. My JR1 email took 12 days after being UR, and I got the JR2. Some with the same submission date as me got it after 2 days, but are still without the JR2. If it goes longer than, say, 2-3 weeks, then yes it means you aren't at the top of the pile but there is still hope left. So don't freak out if you are at 7 days without a JR1 (don't freak out ever, but you get my point).

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
I am EXCITED about the JR2 and also see it as a gauge for much of my cycle.
Anyone know the % if applicants accepted to Harvard that are then accepted to Yale? Stanford?
