Not sure if this was already discussed and as a disclaimer I don't watch much TV, but being that a new legal show was introduced last week (The Deep End) I gave it a try. It truly sucked. I miss Boston Legal. In any case, did anyone catch that the new little first year girl character graduated 1st in her class from Case Western? That's quite a nod to CW, don't you think? The other characters are from Ivy's, I believe.

I haven't seen the show, but that does seem to be a huge nod towards CWR. They're undergrad prestige is huge, maybe some of that comes through with the law school as well; but also, the law schools has some of its own prestige.reasonabledoubt wrote:Not sure if this was already discussed and as a disclaimer I don't watch much TV, but being that a new legal show was introduced last week (The Deep End) I gave it a try. I haven't even heard from Case yet. I have only been in "committee review" for a week now but it feels like it has been forever. Every week day from 9-5 (OK, 8-6) I am attached to my computer so I will be here the moment the e-mail arrives. I hope today is the day.

Just curious, how long did it take for you to go to "committee review"? Mine still indicates Eapp Receipt and I'm not sure if I should be worried yet.angioletto wrote:I haven't even heard from Case yet. Applied December 15. They received my December LSAT score the week of January 4th. I went complete on January 14 and went under committee review on January 20.TenTen wrote:Just curious, how long did it take for you to go to "committee review"? Does Case still have their Part Time program? I couldn't find anything about in on their website by Law School Predictor said it exists.

Been under committee review since Jan 12 or so. Hoping the long wait is not a bad sign....

5:17 pm.
The admissions folks are all in their cars on their way home. No chance of news today.
I wake up every morning thinking THIS will be the day I hear from Case and every day I am wrong....

We offer a full-time program but are able to accommodate students who may require more flexibility in their class schedules.

Re: Case Western 2010
Did they call you about the phone interview yet? Or have you already done one? If not I'd strongly recommend calling them to schedule one. I'd been complete since November with no word, and a day after my interview received acceptance and scholarship.PhantaManta wrote:Am I still only person with Awating Phone interview as my application status?

Yeah they called me, but I am putting that shit off!!! Although if it gets me a decision the day after doing it, that might entice me enough to actually call them.champ33 wrote:Did they call you about the phone interview yet? Re: Case Western 2010
My interview went well IMHO and that's why I think I was accepted. During it though, she referenced someone who had applied to 27 schools and knew nothing about Case Western or why they wanted to attend. I assume that person was rejected. That's not to say you need to prepare some elaborate plan you have involving Case Western, but I think the interview is just a way to gauge whether the applicant would really consider attending if admitted.tallywhacker wrote:can you get phone interviewed and rejected haha. I want to hear a story if this has happened/anyone has heard of it.

they offer a PT program still.. you can transfer into FT in year 2.. however if your grades are in good standing after 1st semester they'll allow you to be FT 2nd semester.. so virtually you will only be short one criminal law class

I think that if they request a phone interview you are not going to get a decision until you do it.PhantaManta wrote:Yeah they called me, but I am putting that shit off!!! Re: Case Western 2010
I just filled out their application and they did not have a PT program option to check...I know I think you said you go there but are you sure they are still accepting students into the PT program? Thanks for your response.tarheels19 wrote:MBZags wrote:This is what I found:MU2009 wrote:Does Case still have their Part Time program? Re: Case Western 2010
i know last years class had a PT program.. i have not heard anything around the law school that they were cancelling it, i'd call admissions and see what the story is.. maybe this is case's way for making a ranking push that everyone is calling for
