And thank you for giving me a reason to be even less productive for the entire week Now I'm going to have to keep my cellphone with me for the [HOPEFUL] Irvine phone call, checking the Berkeley status checker obsessively for my rejection, all the while stalking around the front of my building, waiting for the mailman for the Hastings decision

Got the call from Dean Ortiz today at 11:15 am PST. Same deal as tintin, 50% tuition scholarship and guaranteed grad housing. I was hoping for full, but pretty excited to check out what UCI has to offer at the admitted student event in April.

The numbers everyone who has been accepted thus far are for T14 let alone T20. Both stats being above Irvine's medians. I'm sure they'll choose T14 over Irvine... unless money becomes an issue.

But so far only auto acceptances have been accepted. Splitters and reverse splitters like us will need to wait a while longer.

i would be shocked if i didn't get into at least one of USC or UCLA, but can someone give me a good reason to drop the app fee to UCI? right now my curiosity is just sort of making me want to...

I'm 3.6/171, so I'm hoping to get a T10 acceptance somewhere.

Just realized UCI app is free. But I have to write essays... may do it later on.

Today from 4-5 is also our biweekly "Coffee with the Dean" where we pretty much just sit around with Dean Chemerinsky (with coffee and bags of various snack foods) and ask anything that happens to be on our minds about his class/the school/summer jobs/different areas of practice/whatever/etc. I'll be sure to ask how things are going with admissions.

Maybe with full ride, but with half ride, probably not. I'm still going to check out the admitted student event just to see the law school and how it's different.

Did Dean Ortiz specifically say you'd only get 50%, or was she unclear about that? With your #s (and acceptances ) I wouldn't be surprised if they offered you 100%...
