Brookland isn't bad, it's a mixture of Middle class blacks and Catholic U students.
Brookland is not a place I would choose to live. Find a place on the Metro’s redline ( DuPont Circle or Chinatown) which has a stop at CUA.
A) Brookland is on the redline.
B) Brookland is really not a bad neighborhood or at least it isn't any worse than Columbia Heights..., it is just residential so don't live there if you want a lot going on in your neighborhood.

CUA has a stop on the redline that is why I suggested to live off it. Brookland is not a place I would be walking around at night. Look for something in the city off the red line where it is a bit more safe.

heh. I guess i just respectfully disagree with that last statement. To each his own though. OP does live in Columbia Heights which historically speaking isn't that 'safe' either.

I applied before the cutoff date, but I didn't go "complete" until Dec 9, and I haven't heard anything.

Does it say 6-8 weeks somewhere on their application? For some reason, I feel like we'll hear back much sooner than that.

That was more in jest than anything else. I have a feeling decisions will be made sooner than later, as well.

The website keeps coming as "404 Not Found"
I've tried to access it from different computers yesterday and today and it hasn't gone through. Is anyone else having this problem?

+1
Just tried using several entry points, but I received the same 404 Not Found message for all of them. Assuming that maybe they're overhauling the website? Possibly?
