Re: UCLA?
Just so all you guys waiting on UCLA know, I was accepted via snail mail packet like two weeks ago. I never got a phone call from them. The snail mail packet was the first contact I'd had from them since I got a "complete" email on 10/14.

*sigh*
Just talked to an admissions officer at UCLA, they will not review my file until December. I'm starting to panic, what if I do worse.

Oh...did I forget to mention I compulsively go home at lunch to check for regular mail? 1) You won't do worse.Pearalegal wrote:*sigh*

2) If you were to come up on the short end, they only report highest score anyway!

Pearalegal is referring to the fact they are retaking, not because they applied on a specific date. They won't look at their app until after the retake.jayausi wrote:When did you apply? Go complete?Pearalegal wrote:*sigh*

Yup. I applied 9/15. I was hoping some schools might take a look at my application, or at least note that I was super eager to pay $82 dollars to apply to their school.CyLaw wrote:

On the plus side, you'll get a lot of decisions to start the new year.Pearalegal wrote:Yup. I applied 9/15. I was hoping some schools might take a look at my application, or at least note that I was super eager to pay $82 dollars to apply to their school.

I would call. It was only 4 days between my received and complete emails. It's been 3 weeks for you.nixxers wrote:I got an email that my application was received on 10/20, but nothing as to whether it's been marked "complete." Is this normal?

I don't know. Most likely they won't look up your file if you call anyways, you'll just get a standard answer. If you aren't applying ED then I'd wait a couple weeks. I applied to USC on 10/20 and still haven't gotten a complete from them. I think it's just luck of the draw.nixxers wrote:I got an email that my application was received on 10/20, but nothing as to whether it's been marked "complete." Is this normal?

Well, I called, and I assumed I was talking to the administrative assistant... nope, the guy who answered my phone and looked up the status of my file was the dean of admissions.

Re: UCLA?
getting really annoyed at their admissions office. i STILL haven't gotten a complete email, so I called today to ask. The woman I spoke with said that it looked like everything was in and she wasn't sure why I hadn't gotten a complete email, so she said she would investigate and email me later to let me know.
never got that email.

Have any of the accepted people heard anything about scholarship money?

The EXACT same thing happened to me! I had to bug her twice to get a complete email...seems like it doesn't have much love for our numbers...tintin wrote:getting really annoyed at their admissions office. i STILL haven't gotten a complete email, so I called today to ask. Yes, I got scholarship information in my acceptance packet. Numbers, dates and $$$ amounts in my LSN profile, to which there is a link on my profile here.calidreamin wrote:Have any of the accepted people heard anything about scholarship money?

Anyone know if you can personally hand in the ED agreement. Or must it be mailed?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
