At this rate I'm unlikely to hear until January. Mail getting to Asia = slow (doubtful they will spring for the express mail option).

At least its December 15th and not January 15th on a pre-November application.

Will they only send out the EA decisions on 12/15? I sent my app in on 11/10. I saw on LSN that most of the BU/BC decisions didn't come out until January-March. Do they just wait to send stuff out or did I see that wrong?

This is what the BC website says:

With the exception of candidates applying for the early notification program, the admissions committee will begin to review completed files in January. Depending on when your file is complete, you can expect to receive a decision within eight to twelve weeks. Although the committee endeavors to make comparable decisions throughout the cycle, the fact that an application is completed early may favorably affect its chances.

Early Notification Program

For applicants whose applications are submitted by November 1, with the personal statement and fee, and whose files are complete, with both recommendations and LSDAS report, by November 23, 2009, we shall send an admission decision by December 15, 2009. Should you be admitted to the law school, it is a non-binding decision and you would not be required to submit a tuition deposit earlier than mid-April. If you wish to apply to the early notification program, please indicate so on the application for admission. Early notification applicants must take the LSAT no later than the October administration.

No they mail out all their decisions (including acceptances) and they made a point in their email to say that they only mail decisions to ones personal address, not temporary address (college)

So, they don't do decisions in status checkers? I guess we'll just be getting a 'Decision Mailed' on the 15th, and get the decision shortly before Christmas.

It's going to explode after Dec. 15 when BC mails out the early decision letters. Enjoy the calm before the storm.

(or place that you have a lease to for another 6 months while working and you had to put mommy and daddy's address as the permanent because you're not a real adult yet)

Up until today mine said decision pending 10/27, but today that went away and now it just says application complete 10/08. What does this mean? They have probably reached a decision but will not be mailing it until the 15th. Has this happened to anyone else?

I haven't bothered to check my status since I went complete. What's the point after that if it doesn't give me my decision?

I don't think we should read into any status checker updates or changes - the EA letters will go to your permanent address next week. At that point, we all celebrate, commiserate, or some combination of the two. Either way it's going to be crazy. I assume just about everyone posting in here so far has applied EA.

...But I can't say I'm not getting nervous. BC is probably my top realistic choice.

+1. They may be going in order, and the 10/27s were cleared today. No sense in analyzing it though. We'll find out on the 15th (ish).

Ah, okay, is that what that means. Mine is this:
Current Status: Your application has been completed.
Current Status Date: 11/9/2009
Decision Status: Pending Decision
Decision Status Date: 11/3/2009

Makes sense, they probably decided to reject me after 6 days, but they mail everything on the 15th
