given the uptick in 165+ scorers, they were probably able to "go back to normal." the 267 class size last year was really small for them -- http://www.lstscorereports.com/schools/michigan/. as you can see, historically, they usually had a class size of at least 315.

well not necessarily. it seems like UMich responded by increasing their class size, so that would offset the increase in apps (assuming they didn't have a higher than expected yield).

However, I still haven't gotten a status checker email, and I applied on September 1.

Also got a packet in the mail. Liked that it had a little note that was specific to me. Wasn't really sure how I felt about U Mich because I'm kind of over the whole college town thing after being at UNC for undergrad but, can't lie, that 100+ reasons booklet (or whatever you want to call it) kind of sold me on the school lol.

I agree. Also, there is a specific note to each of us? From what it looks like, it's just a normal letter that happens to have our name on it, which of course can be done quickly in Word or professional mailing programs. Either way, the school looks like Hogwarts.

It took me like two weeks to get a status checker email. I applied August 23rd, the first day apps were open, and my application still hasn't even gone complete yet.

Just got an email from Michigan that some sort of computer error occurred and caused me not to get the status checker email. Apologized and said I should get it soon. Applied 9/6.

Based on LSN profiles, it looks like people reported decisions starting in early-November.
