congrats! When did you hear from stanford?
I got the call Saturday before last. I applied relatively late to both schools, mid-January. Still haven't heard from Yale, expecting a ding but either way I'm committing to Stanford. Good luck!

Welcome to the thread! What other degree are you pursuing?

Checking in. Waitlisted early April which was pleasantly surprising since my LSAT score was just meh. Waiting for my paper (under review) to publish so I have enough cause to send them that LOCI.

Side note: any Canadians here? If dinged from Harvard and didn't get into YS, is it better to go to a T14 or just stay in Canada?

If submitting an additional letter of recommendation while on the waitlist, is it still best so do so via LSAC, or would it be appropriate for my recommender to reach out to Harvard directly if she's an alumnus/it's the only school the letter would be submitted to?

I'm not sure about your question but their FAQ does say they generally advise the WL'ers to not send additional LORs.

I'm Canadian. Admitted to NYU, WLd at Harvard, presumably going to be either WLd or dinged at Yale. I can't speak for everyone, but I'm definitely going to pick U of T over NYU -- there's no way the much higher price of NYU would be worth it for me, given a) that U of T Law is already a fantastic school and b) that I'm uninterested in working in the States.

Should I send in a LOCI to certify my interest if I don't have much to update on?

just curious, but if you're uninterested in working in the states, what's the difference between harvard and NYU? why would you choose one over UToronto but not the other? HLS is just as expensive as NYU.

I sent in a LOCI upon getting waitlisted. They never confirmed receipt. Should I assume they filed it or call to make sure?

I wouldn't bother calling. I called and they told me "I'm sure we got it. We receive a high volume of documents this time of year" So I asked "Can you verify if you have received mine" and she replied "As long as you sent it to the right email, we have received it. We don't send confirmations due to the high volume"
