What schools gave you the LSAT score you needed to hit to get in? You can PM me if necessary.
I'm also curious.

I've looked at this. I think it's a numbers game. Plug yours in, see what you come up with. As far as I can tell, I think I saw ONE person with a 165 or above be denied at WUSTL past five years. (I might be wrong, I've been messing with these numbers for a few weeks and they've gotten all jumbled in my head.) Mileage varies, but they don't start pulling people until the second deposit date, and when they know what their class pool looks like. I emailed Dean Clifford, and she said around June. This really makes me nervous for how much money we'll be gambling by putting down seat deposits elsewhere.

Should I send a LoCI already? The school said they begin looking into the wait list after the first seat deposit, but my LSAT is above their 75th and my GPA is between their 25th and 50th so I'm thinking I may have been YPed.
If I have been YPed is there any chance that sending a letter now could get me off the waitlist sooner rather than later? Is it a good idea to send a LoCI asap even if I haven't been YPed?
It really blows because I'm on the WL for my top choice.

You'll get varying opinions on when to send a LOCI, but I'm in the camp that it's never too early to express your interest, especially if it's your top choice. I sent my LOCI about a week after getting put on the WL, and I'm planning to send a couple more spaced out over 4-5 weeks each. But others may chime in with other viewpoints. FWIW, I spoke to someone in admissions at my WL school and he actually liked the fact that I had sent a strongly worded letter early on. But, every school is different.

I am on the waitlist at my top school as of last week as well. I just talked to one of my professors that I got an A+ in their class last semester and they will be writing a letter of rec. Should I wait for the professor's LOR to send the LOCI with it or should I send an LOCI now and add the LOR later?

Just got on the waitlist at WUSTL... I mean, I'd be happy to get accepted at any point, but sooo frustrating having to potentially wait until June after I've made deposits elsewhere. I think at UIUC I can get a partial refund. Sigh!

Is it a good idea to use an admit from a higher ranked school as leverage for getting off the WL?

Checking in as well! WLed ("reserve") @ Columbia. Does anyone have any experience with sending in a LOCI to them? (The email was vague on supplying additional info). I was going to send in a LOCI anyways.
And, do you reckon that a supplemental LOR from a Columbia alum would make a difference at this stage in the game? Or for any school, for that matter?
Sending good vibes to everyone in here!

So, two more waitlists today.
I've been waitlisted at eight different schools... does this make me the King of Waitlists?

Just sent in a LoCI to UCLA. Was surprised to get on the WL anyway with LSAT>75 and 50>GPA>25.

Can we assume that if we ever get off our waitlists that we will be receiving no money?
I'm wondering if at that point it will be worth it to pay sticker price and to get a call late in the summer and then you have to move. Obviously, if you get off the waitlist soon that's a different story but some schools are saying you may not even hear back until August.
Also, are you guys going to be placing a seat deposit in April at a school you've been accepted to and still remain on wait lists for other schools? A school I've been accepted to wants a total of $1500 by June 1st and then another $1500 by July 1st. We could potentially be losing out on 3k if we choose to ride out a waitlist? Then have to pay sticker price at the waitlist school and then potentially plan on moving to a different region in as little as one or two months?
Sorry if all these questions have been answered but I'm just trying to determine exactly what a worst-case scenario waitlist situation would be like.

If we get off the waitlist, we can assume that someone who has previously been offered scholarship $$ committed elsewhere, so there should be some money available. As with any other offer of admission, you have all of the power until you say yes, and when negotiating you might even want to bring up the fact that you've already committed money to moving and depositing at whatever law school you're currently committed to. In my opinion, you're negotiating from a decent position of power coming off the waitlist late in the cycle, but that could be entirely incorrect. At the very least, it won't hurt to ask if you do eventually get off the WL.

Did you request to meet with anyone while you are there? When I went for a visit, I met with Dean Faulk. We had a pretty short 15 minute conversation. I expressed my interest in the school by asking about research opportunities, clinics, etc. Then I asked a few questions about financial aid. I made sure to allude to other schools I had applications at (i.e. I know Duke's FA process is like this, is UVA set up the same way?) just so they were aware I was interested, but had other options. I finished up by asking about what sites I should see on campus and in Charlottesville. He took the time to show me a map of campus and give me a parking pass for the rest of campus. Just make sure you fill out a visit slip with the admissions office while you are there because they will put it in your file!

I don't know specifics on any schools, but it was my understanding a lot of schools start pulling from the WL after their deposit deadline pass which is April in many cases. I'm crossing my fingers for an April pull off my WL myself.
