I have been under evaluation since October.... I spoke with the Admissions Office on Friday and they told me that they expect to have a decision for all students by the end of May.Xnegd wrote:I've been there since September.....katierice wrote:Just went under evaluation. That's ridiculous. Unless that includes wailisted students, that would be absurd for someone who applied RD to have to wait that long.katierice wrote:Yikes...jesinka90 wrote:I have been under evaluation since October.... Not to mention that this would be after many, many schools deposit date.lolRCscrewyou wrote:That's ridiculous. It makes complete sense for waitlisted people to be notified by then (that's actually relatively early), but for RD applicants who haven't recieved a decision? No way.BirdLawExpert wrote:Not to mention that this would be after many, many schools deposit date.lolRCscrewyou wrote:That's ridiculous. Re: UC Davis c/o 2019 Applicants
Is a bit strange, you'd think I'd at least be waitlisted or denied by now. I've sent them another 2 letters or rec last week, and e-mailed them today just to be candid and say I really hoped to be admitted. No response either way.lolRCscrewyou wrote:It makes complete sense for waitlisted people to be notified by then (that's actually relatively early), but for RD applicants who haven't recieved a decision? Has anyone received denials? Maybe that is what is happening. GPA = Median / LSAT = -1 below Median. I must have really screwed up my application lol.

Yeah, those were exactly my thoughts. All she said was "We expect to give all applicants a decision by the end of May". Judging by last year's thread waitlist went until August early August... So I was a bit surprised by the end of May deadline they gave me.lolRCscrewyou wrote:It makes complete sense for waitlisted people to be notified by then (that's actually relatively early), but for RD applicants who haven't recieved a decision? I was accepted on 2/19. Applied early December. I'm just under median on GPA and LSAT. Really hoping for something as far as aid to make it viable. The next few weeks of waiting are going to be tough.

Re: UC Davis c/o 2019 Applicants
Various blogs said keeping in touch with the Admissions Dean can be a key step towards assuring acceptance.
As such, I just sent an E-mail to the Admissions Deans trying to be friendly and let them know I am very interested and had some updated letters of recommendation. The response I got was that if I wanted to know my status to check online. Not what I was going for at all lol...apparently, that was not the right choice.....

Did any 2/19 admits get a text from the dean? I didn't and my feelings are a little hurt.
Also, do you think students floating right around or below the median on LSAT and GPA have a chance of getting merit-based aid? I didn't apply to very many schools so I don't know the pattern.

I'm assuming nobody has received their financial aid offer yet right?

Need Access was absolutely ridiculous. And having to include my parents information seemed pretty disingenuous on their part. I haven't lived with/been dependent on my parents in years and they are definitely not planning on helping me pay for law school

Re: UC Davis c/o 2019 Applicants
Hello everyone - I applied to UCD on Jan. 15th and I've been complete and awaiting evaluation since Jan. 29th, which is not a big surprise considering my stats (LSAT @ median, GPA < 25th). I was just curious... when my application is finally moved to the evaluation stage, will I receive an email or will the status checker just be updated at 6pm? Davis is one of my top choices, albeit a bit of a reach with my stats, and I am getting pretty antsy over here! Thanks.

I was complete for about 2 months before getting put under evaluation. Didn't receive an email notification, just the status checker changed. Best of luck!toetotoeonbirdlaw wrote:Hello everyone - I applied to UCD on Jan. 15th and I've been complete and awaiting evaluation since Jan. 29th, which is not a big surprise considering my stats (LSAT @ median, GPA < 25th). Re: UC Davis c/o 2019 Applicants
Checking in, just submitted today after adjusting my expectations based on how my cycle has been going. Although after reading this thread I don't think I should expect a decision before the deposit deadlines of where I've been accepted so far.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
