More curious as to what they look for outside of numbers. I'm assuming they get a lot of applicants above both 75ths,arklaw13 wrote:I think it's pretty numbers heavy, but hard to be sure. Most people I've known have been in at or above both 75ths. But they recently got more of them endowed, so it may not be quite as competitive as before. Honestly I have no idea. I can't find any similarities between any of us in any of the class years. Some had work experience or other degrees, some didn't. Some went to prestigious UGs, some didn't.legally_brunette20 wrote:More curious as to what they look for outside of numbers. Random question, but why were a lot of posts removed, including the first post with all of the useful links?

Appears that all of OP's previous posts have been removed. I would say the links weren't removed for any specific reason - just caught in the net. Not sure what they were, but perhaps this might help:scollop wrote:Random question, but why were a lot of posts removed, including the first post with all of the useful links?

Checking in! Sent my app in on Saturday. I am having trouble with the interview request website. It hasn't sent me the link to verify my email yet? Does it normally take this long?

The way the application is worded you should disclose everything - speeding and parking tickets includedSirArthurDayne wrote:Guys, on the the character and fitness section, do you have to include speeding tickets??

I did. It was about 3/4 of a page. I mentioned a couple of programs I was interested in, why I was interested and why I thought I would be a good fit. I also talked about their reputation, good job placement numbers, etc...SirArthurDayne wrote:Did anyone here write a Why Vandy letter?

I wouldn't advise business casual - however that really depends on the setting of your interview. If its on a Friday, at a coffee shop, with a younger alumn then that might be okay. However, if you're going to their place of work then I would really suggest breaking out a suit/full business dress. It sounds like most interviews, mine included, have been relatively casual conversations, but that doesn't mean you should be dressed casually!SirArthurDayne wrote:Scalvert wrote:I did. Nice, thanks.
My interview is sometime this week guys. From what I've read I think business casual is okay.

Mine is for a Thursday at 7am at some coffee shop. I'm going with a suit. Considering a lighter grey rather than a more formal navy blue or dark grey, but still a suit nonetheless.

Mine was on a sat morning at a coffee shop. I did business casual, although I wasn't exactly sure. I felt better when my interviewer showed up in khakis. It was actually a fun interview.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
