It was because she sent in the targeted LOR. Darn you, nobody I know who had anything to do with Stanford!gobears!! wrote:+1 You got yours so quickly. Off to a great start!slippin_jimmy wrote:Also, loving the tiny font they send their curt e-mail in.

OP's log, star date 2015.254
So far there has been no communication since a single terse message a while ago. I await eagerly for more news, or possibly even a status checker.

I may actually be dying for a Stanford status checker. I want to go here so bad I pee myself when I think about it too hard. I just want a checker so I can delude myself into imagining that they're thinking about me.
Also, poll ideas? I just need a topic, I'll work out the rest.

This may be a stupid question, but I can't find how on earth you're supposed to send Stanford a school-specific LOR letter. Or does that only apply if you know someone who actually has something to do with Stanford?

So I only submitted today & received no communication from Stanford. BUT I managed to get a status checker. How? Genius: you find the status checker on their site, input your username (same for all status checkers), click 'reset password', enter something random into the answer box, and you get emailed login details! Okay it's not actually impressive - but if you want a status checker & haven't got one yet, that's how to do it folks.

Also, for everyone else, I had to click 'forgot password', then type in my username and click get question. Then no question popped up, so I just typed in the answer I've used for all of the status checkers, and boom. It worked.
