Ooo ooo mine was in spam!

ETA: rather weird, because I received another email from the same address today that did not go to spam, but this one did.

Received my merit aid today as well (90k). According to the email, need based aid is yet to come. Apparently, the need based aid is a max of 45k over three years. Here's hoping I'm poor enough to get the 45k!

Received mine as well in the same ballpark. My email was also in the spam folder. Really hoping for a substantial need-based grant!

Me too. My merit offer was very good. Between that and need-based I'm expecting close to a full ride. Full ride (or close) at Davis vs. T20 w/debt or T14 at sticker is going to be a tough decision.

Does anyone know if they negotiate merit?

I'm wondering the same thing. I read on their website that they don't negotiate the stipulations. This probably doesn't help.

The stip in my offer was a 2.0 GPA, which is legit (thanks for being cool, Davis!). I'm guessing that's standard on all offers? If yours is higher I would focus you energy on getting it reduced before anything else. I doubt Davis will budge much on $$ since LSN and TLS show a bunch of high dollar awards, but who knows. FAFSA is due on Monday, I'm focusing on that .

Just received email today regarding admitted students weekend. Looks like it's a mixer in Sac, an all day event at Davis, followed by another mixer put on my student orgs at King Hall.

Who's going? And to which parts?

I'm thinking of driving up Friday (I live in San Diego) and going to the events on Saturday. I'm visiting Davis in a couple weeks for a tour, but it would be nice to meet everyone who is thinking of attending.

I'll probably go to the Saturday events. Can't drive up until Friday afternoon.

Does Davis offer travel stipends? I haven't heard back from them about admission (although I'm pretty sure I'll be accepted) so I can't really ask yet. It's one of my top choices so I definitely want to plan a trip, but it's getting kinda close to deadlines and I want to have my trip planned out for when the time comes!

A LOOOOOONG TIME. Mine has been Evaluation in progress for over a month and a half. Hopefully it will be quicker for you all since the deadline is approaching.

+1 I've had that status for 1-2 weeks and still no decision yet.

Yes, it took a couple weeks but I had an email in my spam folder (so maybe check there?). Some others in the thread had similar experiences.

I got pulled off the the WL.

In via email; i guess they like my feb lsat score
i feel kinda cheated: they only love me for my new lsat score

How does davis communicate scholarship offers? email? USPS?

Congrats! Scholarship via email at least. I haven't received a hard copy yet if they send one out. But you'll find out by email first. Havent received any info about need-based yet, only merit.

Greetings everyone, Davis is a strong favorite for me at this point in time and I've been lurking this page as a guest for a while so I thought I would check in.

me too - lurker checking in! I received my $ info last week ($105k over 3 years) and Davis is becoming more and more appealing. I'm very interested in their programs & clinics, but the location is not ideal (want to be in SF or LA). Tough decisions...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
