In! Lived in Chapel Hill for years, and would love to come back. It's a pretty amazing place to live for any amount of time.

In via status checker!! Do they offer scholarship money through acceptance packet? I'm not sure that I even got any but just wondering.

Did all of you guys have the disappearing paragraph at the top of the status checker before you got in and if so how long was the wait from the change to the notice?

I read that scholarship $ comes in a separate letter a few days after the acceptance packet

I'm not sure how long it's actually paragraph has been gone, though.bob311 wrote:Did all of you guys have the disappearing paragraph at the top of the status checker before you got in and if so how long was the wait from the change to the notice?

Okay thanks a lot. Mine disappeared on Thursday so I'm just curious. Interesting you got admitted on a Saturday. Congrats though!enotini wrote:I only noticed that the paragraph disappeared yesterday, and I was accepted via status checker today. Hey all! To answer a few questions/comments:
UNC is notoriously slow in making decisions. Every year. Don't fret!
Last year, scholarship notifications came much later than admission. I was admitted in December 2013, and didn't get scholarship information until the end of February 2014. This was pretty typical.
As for Chancellors, it seems to be pretty hush-hush, even once you're at UNC. In general, scholarships don't really come up in conversation. I know of one person who has a chancellors scholarship, but I have no idea on her stats, etc.

I can +1 pretty much all of this. The Chancellors is very hush-hush, even once at UNC. I know 3 people who have the Chancellors and 1 person that was a finalist, but didn't receive it. Their stats aren't what set them apart for receiving the Chancellors, it's much more complex than that. But if you're > 75th percentile for both LSAT and GPA, you've got a shot.ltrego wrote:Hey all! My scholarship offer came along with my physical acceptance letter.
ETA: That is to say that there weren't two separate letters for me.

I've been sitting on "Application Complete" since 11/14...What is going on?
Does the status go under review before a decision is made? Also, is the decision made via phone call or email or status checker?

My paragraphs at the top of my status checker disappeared. I am not sure how long they've been gone since I just noticed and haven't been checking it as often. I saw that this happened to several people before they received a decision, so here's hoping there's another wave bringing good news!

Paragraphs disappeared today and just went "complete". Interested to see how long it takes.

Re: UNC Law c/o 2018 (2014-15 cycle)
I got my decision and scholarship information via snail mail on Saturday. Scholarship is $17,500 a year renewable for each year. I just need to maintain a 2.2 at the end of the first year and a 2.25 a the end of the second. It also states that 70-80% of students are successful at gaining in-state residency after the first year.. So then I'll be paying about $5,000 for law school tuition for the second and third years.. I don't hate it.

Yeah I got the same yesterday, I like how they also gave an instruction sheet on how you can get in-state, it's like they actually want to help you pay lessenotini wrote:I got my decision and scholarship information via snail mail on Saturday. Finally in today via status checker. Had the disappearing paragraph for 2/3 weeks now.
Do they send an email or is it just a letter now that status checker has changed?
And how long till scholly info?
