what's this mean?

If you get admitted, your status changes to "Decision rendered and sent." Perhaps you will get the admit call today! ;)

I have all those requirements above as well, so probably a good sign!

Admitted via voicemail, but no mention of scholarship money yet. Hopefully the admissions packet will mention some merit $!

Is anyone going to utilize the financial aid office hours (10am-12) to negotiate scholarship offers? I've already received offers from higher-ranked schools (Wake Forest, BU, William and Mary), but still waiting on the new york schools (fordham, nyu, columbia) which may provide more significant leverage. Would it be more prudent to hold off until I've heard back from every school and then negotiate? They offered me close to a full ride but I'd like to get it up to %100 discount (plus stipend if possible).

Any thoughts/comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Wait listed for Fall but agreed for May consideration. Any ideas as to when I should hear back regarding May? Decision rendered and sent 1/28 and accepted wait list spot / May consideration same day.

Assuming you don't get into either NYU or Columbia, you might want to consider throwing something at Brooklyn. While 'Dozo sees Fordham as a competitor, they also see BLS as a competitor, and BLS is far more likely to throw tons of money your way that you can use on 'Dozo. That's what I did. Fordham was stingy as hell with money.

Hi guys, I was accepted to Cardozo's May entry program. I understand that this still means I am on the waitlist for September entry. I had a few questions:
1) When do May accepted students usually hear back regarding their waitlist for September 2015 entry?
2) I am pursuing IP (specifically, Patent Law), how good of a school is Cardozo for IP? And, what does job placement look like after graduation? (specifically patent/IP job placement)

I have spoken to a few lawyers and they seemed pretty iffy on Cardozo being the place to go in terms of job placement afterwards, I was wondering why. I was really excited about my Cardozo acceptance but I have gotten mixed reviews since.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated :D

Congrats on the acceptance to May! I'm almost hoping to get May acceptance over Fall now. Did they send acceptance via email or what was method of delivery? A good friend of mine did IP at Cardozo (graduated 2013) and found a job pretty soon after graduation, however, she's yet to find anything IP related and has bounced to a couple of different things just looking for a good fit. I think it's more of the IP jobs that are available as opposed to being an issue with Cardozo specifically. I guess with IP being such a hot commodity they can afford to be more selective ..? Good luck with your decision

Oh and I forgot to mention- apparently it's completely normal for them to accept for Fall after May has already started. Which would make it sort of a gamble to hold out unless you are dead set on Fall entry.

Thanks! That was really helpful. I am 99% set on Cardozo being the one. I realized I would rather keep my May acceptance, I like the idea of being part-time and getting acclimated your first year. As far as how I was informed, I received a phone call from someone in admissions and an email came a few days later (followed by the acceptance letter in the mail.) Good luck in your application process! I hope to see you at Cardozo with me this May!

When I was wait listed they gave me option for May also and I accepted wait list for both. Honestly hoping for May though. Did you have to specify anything for them?

After receiving the email informing me I was waitlisted, I emailed them back telling them I wanted to be considered for the May program and remain waitlisted for Fall admission. About 3 weeks later I got a phone call from admissions saying I had been admitted to the May program. Still no word on the Fall admission though, but at this point I am pretty set on enrolling as a part-time May student!

For the May program the $1000 deposit deadline is March 27th. Im not sure about the deadline for those of you entering in the fall!

Without negotiation, the school is raising my scholarship from 22k/yr to 32k/yr with same stipulation (top 80%). Anyone receive this bump as well?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
