I put down my deposit! anybody else??
I had a seat deposit extension until May 1st also, so I will not be depositing until then...I just got back from Iowa and loved Tulane so much more (mostly bc NOLA>midwest), but w the cost being a major factor for me, Iowa is still in the lead atm...also submitted a late app to AL so we will see.

Did anyone end up going to the ASD in April?

Have to respond to Fordham by 4/22 though.
Do you just have to deposit at Fordham? Check to see if they allow multiple seat deposits, many schools frown upon it but allow it, I think until some time in May according to ABA rules (don't quote me on that though)...anyway, worse case is you submit a deposit and then visit and lose that money if you love NOLA, but really it's a good investment and worth the peace of mind to give yourself all the time you need and can afford to decide in.

Yep.
Oh that's interesting... how does that work? Do they give you the same exact offer?
parkcity wrote:Yes, $400. That's a good idea, I'll call them on Monday.
And absolutely, definitely don't want to be rushed right now, although I've been thinking about this for so long and do wish I knew what I was doing already. What are you leaning towards right now?
Wow, that's a little steep, but if you can do it, def worth taking your time...luckily my deposit to Iowa was only $250. I'm still really undecided at this point. I think I'm going to wait to hear back from Alabama before making my final decision (that is if they get back to me before May 1st, lol).

With that said, I have been researching Iowa City and housing a bit more, to see if that's something I could/would do. I live in the New Orleans area, so Tulane is the obvious choice for me if I want familiarity, but we'll see. GL!

Just got accepted with 20k but still waiting to hear from Lsu. Even though finals start next week I'll probably visit at some point in the near future.

ETA: does anyone with a similar amount scholarship from Tulane have an idea if I can expect some sort of scholarship at LSU?

There is no way to know for sure, but in general i think t's safe to say if you got $ from tulane, you can prob expect $ from LSU- depending on when you applied, etc....if you're in state that $ might be directly proportional percentage wise with tulane's offer...for example, LSU tuition is at least half of Tulane's so let's say you got 20k (per year?) at tulane and their tuition is around 47K per yr, so proportionally speaking you could get around 9k from lsu whose tuition is ab 21k/yr or more depending on how competitive the rest of your application is.

Has anyone by any chance received any scholarship bumps after the first seat deposit?

Just withdrew with cash, hope one of ya'll get in. Tulane is truly an awesome looking place with a great faculty, sad I won't get to experience Mardi Gras next year.

153 LSAT Score/ 3.8 or 3.9 GPA, Honor Societies, President's list, etc.

What are my chances for getting into Tulane?

Should I retake LSAT and shoot for a higher score?

Yes, hate the retake cliche on here but with your stats there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't retake without a very good reason. You could probably get into Tulane but it'd be expensive as hell.
