yeah 2 emails. Checking on the older forums back until 2008, invites seemed to bode well for acceptances. Just commenting on what people were saying in the previous years (no idea if it still applies this year)

I received both Rothman emails, as well as another invitation to record part of the application on LikeLive.com, whatever that is. Committee 2nd read as of 12/16.

How many people get invited for Rothman? Surprised at my invite, and unsure if I actually stand any chance. But I guess worth it to take the shot at that full scholarship.

So, um, yeah, I got this thing too. I guess it says something about my character that when I learned they only award one Rothman for each class, I immediately became far less interested in going through the trouble to write an additional essay and upload a video. Maybe I have the opposite of special snowflake syndrome.DCfilterDC wrote:How many people get invited for Rothman? Surprised at my invite, and unsure if I actually stand any chance. Getting paid $2k/month to get a law degree seems pretty sweet though...it got me thinking...how would a Rothman change folks' decision logic? Does a Rothman make you take USC over Berkeley at half price? Over Stanford at sticker?

I'm pretty sure it's only $2k/year, not month. Still a good deal, though not good enough that I'd turn down Berk or Stanfordcc78 wrote:So, um, yeah, I got this thing too. Rothman is full scholarship plus guaranteed SA at Skadden after 1L which will pay you about 25-30 thousand dollars. So full scholarship plus the 30k for skadden SA position. I'm not sure about any additional money. Not good enough to take over Stanford but surely yes over sticker at Berkeley.

According to LSN, one person was accepted today. Of course LSN is a very small sample.

If we got the Rothman invite, does that basically mean accepted?

Hm..weird right after my status changed to committee 2nd read, I got 3 Rothman emails (one for the likelive profile, and then 2 emails regarding the Rothman with slightly different wording). Did anyone experience a status change and then receive emails?
Edit: Just checked, In final review as of today
