Hey all, if Cornell is where you would really like to go, you might as well just stay on the waitlist while assuming that you'll be attending the law school you deposited at. If by orientation you get a spot and can make the switch, then great, if not then the good thing is you still have your other school.

I think it depends on what you consider to be good. It seems that all recent dates changes have translated into a spot on the waitlist. Myself included.

Still sitting on 6/11 status date. Seems like they are going for a slow trickle of decisions rather than a wave.

Would love to hear of anyone on TLS or LSN receiving an actual offer of admission at this point.

This is potentially wishful thinking, but perhaps those of us with 6/11 or 6/16 status updates but no decisions have essentially survived the first round of cuts. The reserve list started with several hundred candidates; I'm sure it's at least halved by now due to withdrawals and the recent dings, which is always a good thing. (My condolences to those recently dinged and outright WLed :/.)

However, anecdotally (after pouring through last year's thread), it seems like there were more reserve --> admits than reserve --> WL --> admits (if any). I hate to say it, but I think the waitlist is officially the slow summer death sentence.

In past years the summer WL has seen almost no movement. But in past years they announced Reserve --> Admits then Reserve --> WL/Ding, so this cycle is not a similar pattern. I'm also stuck at 6/11 and I hope we have a shot, but I've been hurt before Cornell, I don't know if I want to get my hopes up for you this time
