JK I'm just really bored, there's probably no significance.

Perhaps they just sent the email out to those who were most active. Might be a way for them to consolidate all our questions so we stop annoying them.rahulg91 wrote:Maybe not receiving the e-mail ---> ADMIT????skicrazy wrote:I didn't receive the email either.

I know you probably didn't really think it was, but definitely not it, as I haven't sent them anything but got the email.SowhatsNU wrote:Perhaps they just sent the email out to those who were most active. Good news within your bad news:SowhatsNU wrote:Thought I'd post a skinny for the people who didn't get a chance to look through the thread/chat:
Good news:
There's still scholarship money available for waitlisted applicants
June is the month with the most movement
Next round of admissions is coming next week
Bad news:
40 people from the waitlist have already been offered admission
92% of the class has already been filled
We're screwed.
"Sticker" is not a school. It is the full "sticker price" or undiscounted cost of attending any school.Luchi91 wrote:Basic questions:
What school do yall refer to as "Sticker" ?
What does HYS and CCN mean?

"HYS" is Harvard, Yale, Stanford i.e. the top 3 schools
"CCN" is Chicago, Columbia, NYU i.e. the next three schools

He gave more detail than that. He said that it was 92% filled of the 194 they are targeting for the JD-only program. Which means 15-16 spots. While this is good info, it really can only get better for us, at least from where we stand now, because (as noted earlier in this thread) at least some of the people who have deposited have either double-deposited OR will wind up getting off a waitlist at another school, opening up another spot. I'm not saying our chances are good, but probably better than the 15-16 spots indicate.Slimz89 wrote:He also said the class size is about 240 and 92% of that is 220. So really there's like 20 spotsstr8yolked wrote:Johann said there's about 500 active on the WL and he guesses that ~20% will be accepted. 40 have already been accepted off the WL so that leaves ~60 left! There's definitely still hope for us!
As far as timeline goes, some students leave during the first week of classes for another school. Not that this should really be factored in, but just thought you all should know. Good luck everyone.gerrydawg wrote:He gave more detail than that. He said that it was 92% filled of the 194 they are targeting for the JD-only program. Which means 15-16 spots.
