Same wording as past years emails it seems, from digging in past waitlist threads. They always say "deposits are quite strong."

If I've already sent a LOCI and an additional LOR, do you think this email is suggesting we send another update to show interest?

I just sent them an LOCI yesterday. I don't understand how to "continue to keep in touch" with them.aight_123234 wrote:I don't think so.inyoureyes89 wrote:If I've already sent a LOCI and an additional LOC, do you think this email is suggesting we send another update to show interest?

Ditto. I think I've sent everything I can at this point... unless they ask for something else specifically. Oh well, Georgetown's a long shot for me given my numbers! I sent my LOCI in last week anyway, so there's not much else to add.

Special preferred, confused as to why, after I sent several emails and have been in touch frequently, I am being asked to demonstrate more interest. What, am I supposed to get a tattoo?

Well I sent in an LOCI as a response, so I guess it's good that I actually hadn't sent them an LOCI at this point.

I'm on the preferred. My email said "we will know for sure by May 9th whether or not we have spots." No mention of May 12th. I just sent an LOCI yesterday, but I replied with a short reply restating my interest.

Same, but then the next paragraph of the email says they will update you by May 12th, at least in my email.CJ2017 wrote:kmiller wrote:Just got a waitlist update email from Dean Cornblatt. Re: Georgetown Waitlist 2014
Just got an e-mail updating me about the Preferred Waitlist. Thing is, nobody ever told me I was on the preferred waitlist. Did this happen to anyone else?
EDIT: To be clear, Georgetown didn't correspond with any updates about my application whatsoever until this very point.
EDIT 2: Further, my status checker remains at "Complete 2/28". Someone tell me I'm not alone here.

Re: Georgetown Waitlist 2014
Also got the preferred waitlist update email. I sent in my LOCI earlier this month via snail mail (confirmed that it had been added to my file when I called).
I would like to email back with the basic message being, "yes, I will attend if accepted," but I feel like I already did that in my LOCI.
Maybe I will talk about my alumni interview?
Are others replying with just a generic email, or attaching a doc or pdf?

Maybe check your spam folder. My last complete is 2/28 and I received an email saying I was on the preferred waitlist I think that same day.VivaWisconsin wrote:Just got an e-mail updating me about the Preferred Waitlist. Re: Georgetown Waitlist 2014
I snail-mailed my LOCI last week. I thought it was the right approach (nice paper, real signature, and all that stuff), but I also emailed a day or two later with the .pdf of the scanned letter and simply said, "it's in the mail!" They replied and said they received it.dobie1 wrote:Also got the preferred waitlist update email. I also got the preferred WL e-mail. I sent a reply e-mail confirming my interest. I've already sent in an additional two LORs and two LOCIs so hopefully that's enough!
It does seem a little strange that their deposits are so "strong", because a lot of people are withdrawing on LSN. But maybe they're on track to over-enroll?

As noted by an earlier poster, that was the same language they used last year, and it seems that they will write that regardless of the actual deposit situation.ConLawNerd91 wrote:I also got the preferred WL e-mail.
