Would not negotiate with me either. However, my first offer was very strong so I can't really complain.

Aside from the refusal to re-negotiate, LSU has really impressed me this cycle. From my communication with their office, to the events they have set-up for admitted students, everything has been first-class. Cocktail reception at the chancellor's home and dinner at the contemporary arts museum is a VERY welcoming and nice touch which, at least to me, speaks volumes about the community they have there... Or perhaps they are just really good recruiters.

Looking forward to ASW on Friday/Sat. Any of you guys going? If so, where are you staying?

I'll be there. I'm staying at the Staybridge.

Going to try to negotiate money. Has anyone had success in trying?

I tried and was immediately shot down, as were all the other people I talked to.
They either aren't negotiating right now or aren't negotiating at all, it seems like.

I posted this before, but I also was shot down immediately. However, my stats are pretty mehhh so that also had a bit to do with it I would assume.

My stats were above their medians, so I was surprised they wouldn't negotiate with me at all.

RE: Window Decal - there's some pretty neat ones on Amazon, but no "LSU Law" ones. They're all ugly.

Good choice. I did not do my research. Coming from a non-gambling state(Texas), I was unaware of this option.

In today as of 11:40 L - Very excited. Will be going either this year if I get FLEP ( Funded Legal Education Program) Military thing or going to use my GI bill and go in 2015 if not.

I was at ASW, which just concluded not too long ago. LSU was impressive. They did a good job putting everything together.

Generalities aside, the one thing I took away was the sense of community. School spirit is obviously strong, and they really seem to place an emphasis on fostering a strong community. They are also very proud of their job statistics, and rightfully so.

Given my other offers, and LSU's refusal to negotiate scholarship money, it's unlikely I'll attend in the Fall. But I'd have no reservations about going here if you want to practice in the area. I've visited a few schools and I can say with some degree of certainty that LSU seems to be about as fun a place to go to law school as you'll find.

Withdrew today so there's 90k dollars back in the "pot". Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back about admissions, or waiting on scholarship info/increases.
