I'm pretty sure they forgot about me too. I went complete in August, and interviewed in September I think. They have sent me a bunch of view books since, but I haven't heard a peep from them. I don't want to pester them, but I'm getting anxious.applelover wrote:Vandy seems to have forgotten my app.

I went complete the same day. Do you mind sharing your stats? Good luck btw, although I am totally expecting for you to get an acceptance.samoby wrote:I went decision mailed today and went complete 10/29.ZipWhenSheMoves wrote:Man, I am so jealous of everyone expecting decisions! Does everyone's status check update after the interview? My last update was on 10/24, and I interviewed on 10/31. I'm a little worried that my interviewer didn't send in his notes.

Not at all! 167/3.7, so basically right around their medians. Yesterday was nervous about so many other decisions being mailed, but now mine has been too!HYSenberg wrote:I went complete the same day. Vandy asked me to reconsider to have an interview while I chose to forge when I submitted the app. Completed 10/21

Just wondering- why did you choose to forgo? It takes very little time, and my impression is that unless you really put your foot in your mouth they only strengthen your application. Mine, as seems to be the case with everyone else here, was pretty low pressure!kls120 wrote:Vandy asked me to reconsider to have an interview while I chose to forge when I submitted the app. Completed 10/21

I also declined an interview on the application because I wanted a decision ASAP. I feel like it'd be more appropriate if I were waitlisted.ZipWhenSheMoves wrote:Just wondering- why did you choose to forgo? I went complete 10/8 and had my interview on the 23rd and I still haven't received a status update since my completion.

They seem to use interviews to gauge interest, and their timeline isn't quick anyway, so for most people the delay won't mean much. If it's a school that's actually high on your list, turning down a chance to interview might not be the best idea.HYSenberg wrote:I also declined an interview on the application because I wanted a decision ASAP. (Also, it was the most fun part of the application process for me! I know a lot of people who echo that sentiment.)

I'm hoping that this was just a really poor attempt at humorHYSenberg wrote:Yes, bad Vandy! Tsk Tsk. On another note, the viewbook did serve some purpose as I finally got to see on a map where the hell TN actually is. I thought it was next to TX lol...I was way off.

If someone with an 11/12 decision mailed date gets the package, please let us know! I have an 11/12 date but won't be home until later. I hope it comes today.

Nope. I knoweth not much of US geography. I know the major states, but the rest is often flyover country lol.mhaas wrote:I'm hoping that this was just a really poor attempt at humorHYSenberg wrote:Yes, bad Vandy! Tsk Tsk.
