Someone on LSN updated that they were admitted today, but again, that doesn't necessarily mean he/she heard from them today.

so far the only people let in on LSN are the obvious auto admits, (3.75+, 166+)

I'm surprised they haven't issued more acceptances so far. No wonder FSU seems to be catching up...mvonh001 wrote:so far the only people let in on LSN are the obvious auto admits, (3.75+, 166+)
We both have auto-admit numbers (granted, maybe not "obvious auto admits"), so why are they waiting?? Are they expecting to get their LSAT up 3-4 points for next year's class or something?
Probably quite a bit. Unless you REALLY want to stay in Florida, I wouldn't really consider UF with your numbers. You'll get big $ at better schools.mpk11d wrote:Any idea on scholarships for a white male/FL resident.

It's my safety school, I'm from the area (a tad south of there really) and I have family practicing all over the state. So having UF with $ as an option would be nice. Just curious what I'd actually be looking at.

Does anyone get the sense that UF thinks a little too highly of itself? I realize it's a state flagship, but all these special essays the long wait...I mean, c'mon.

The special essay wasnt a deal breaker for me... But this wait is making me seriously consider FSU, even though i would much rather attend UF.TheSpanishMain wrote:Does anyone get the sense that UF thinks a little too highly of itself? Congrats... is your profile stats correct, because you should be an auto-admit, im surprised it took this long - actually, this is UF, so I'm not surprised at all.abaker92 wrote:Decision reached, Notice Issued!

It seems to be that they are accepting people in descending order according to lsat... the first couple were high 160's, then a 165, now we are at 164, so by my theory, i should be getting notified soon. We will see.

They are correct. I actually hadn't filled out my residency form and paid my money until Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, so it was actually a pretty quick turn-around. I hope that you get your answer quickly!!

for your theory to be accurate, at least one student must be admitted in after comparative review ... has that happened yet? i'm really hoping that your theory is correct!mvonh001 wrote:Congrats... is your profile stats correct, because you should be an auto-admit, im surprised it took this long - actually, this is UF, so I'm not surprised at all.abaker92 wrote:Decision reached, Notice Issued!

I wouldnt say that this disproves my theory, lol, but it def doesnt support it. Unless your GPA is sub 3.3, then idk what to make of this.

I was in comparative review for one day. Granted, I don't know that I'm admitted.itachiuchiha wrote:for your theory to be accurate, at least one student must be admitted in after comparative review ... has that happened yet? i'm really hoping that your theory is correct!mvonh001 wrote:Congrats... is your profile stats correct, because you should be an auto-admit, im surprised it took this long - actually, this is UF, so I'm not surprised at all.abaker92 wrote:Decision reached, Notice Issued!

No need to panic if response from UF has been slow for you, considering you're not alone (even among those with obvious admit #s). The hold up is definitely on their end, and not indicative of your chances of being admitted.

Same here! 163/3.8x. I was hoping they'd get a decision out today since I'll be driving through Gainesville next week.
