Yea Ginsburg's sister also teaches at CLS. I heard thats one of the way to get a SCOTUS clerkship from CLS is to suck up to her. A friend of mine even became her assistant researcher but didn't even get a fed clerk.

Finally read the Aquagirl story, haha, so ATL has its highlights.jbagelboy wrote:Oh that reminds me.Monochromatic Oeuvre wrote:BUT ITS IN THE ATL RANKINGS THO IT MUST BE SUPER IMPORTANTjbagelboy wrote:With respect, the chances of landing a SCOTUS clerkship, even from Yale, are so incredible miniscule, that its not worth factoring into your law school decision
Fuck the ATL rankings.
And while I wouldn't ever choose a school for SCOTUS clerkship potential (admittedly I'm not eligible for federal clerkships, but even if I was staying in Canada there are just so many factors for courts at that level), choosing Chicago over Columbia for general clerkship potential is probably a fair choice.
But, then you'd be at Chicago so.

He's probably afraid they'll find him out and deny him for hating on their ugly building.lunaraeon wrote:No need to edit, haha, it's a pretty poor-looking building.charlie.black wrote:Checking in. Wonderful school.

Haha. I think it seemed unnecessary after I posted it. And environment (building, neighborhood, climate, etc.) are legitimate considerations when making a decision. I'm not sure when they renovated it (they did, yes?), but it seems like it would be a semi-dreary sight each morning. I imagine it doesn't phase the students much.

Serrrrrriously considering EDing. I've got a 175 and a 3.56-3.58-ish (depending on my grade for a summer class) GPA. It's definitely my first choice, but financial issues are my #1 concern (after employment stats, obvies). Anyone want to convince me to ED .. or not ED? Wondering what my much brighter fellow applicants think.

In for opinions as well. Is Columbia at sticker worth more than say, 100k or even 50k from Cornell if you want big law?TheMostDangerousLG wrote:Serrrrrriously considering EDing. IMO: 100K, no. 50K, yes.californiauser wrote:Is Columbia at sticker worth more than say, 100k or even 50k from Cornell if you want big law?
Of course, I might have a pro-Cornell bias.

Pied Piper and Rawls are URM. Rawls is in at HYS forsure though. If Pied is AA and 3.5+ he/she likely is too IMO.
