Mine says it too, but it's probs an internal glitch or something- nothing to worry about!

Glitch is fixed, mine says June 3, 2013 for the date. If/when do you think Michigan will release more WL acceptances?

i'm going to go ahead and guess next week at the earliest, the week after at the latest. going through the 2012 thread, it seems like there were a wave of WL admits right before the June 15th deposit deadline, continuing a few days past the 15th.

Will they deny you from the waitlist or just let you ride it out until the end and not say anything?

It sounds like they are actively removing people, but if that's the case, why ask in that email how long we were willing to stay on? Unless their yield is high this year, it sounds like they are removing people who asked to be removed in June

"Releasing from the waitlist" (almost?) always means cutting people from the waitlist (WL, reject). I don't know of a school where this isn't the case, and schools use this language quite consistently.

They do this when the class size and composition is firm enough that keeping a large waitlist (in relative terms) is unfair to those still waiting, as they have decided that the chances of particular candidates eventually receiving an offer are getting quite slim.

Asking people when they are willing to wait until is one way of trimming the waitlist down, but if the class is holding up well then they may feel it necessary to cut more actively from the waitlist. The second deposit deadline is the last big checkpoint until orientation I think, so they will be making some decisions next Monday.
