1. The alumni seem pretty involved. Emory hosts a lot of events and brings back former alums pretty often for speaking engagements, networking events, etc., which gives a good chance to meet and get to know alums from the school. Also, if you're applying in the Atlanta market or other nearby markets, it is pretty easy to find Emory alums which helps when trying to make contacts and get information for the job search. Even for out-of-market interviews (DC/NY), there were a handful of alumni at the big firms, which was nice to see.LittleBlueBird wrote:1. How involved are the alumni? Emory has quite an impressive endowment, which makes one think there are at least some strong alumni connections?nmcdgt wrote:Emory 2L here, happy to answer questions if you guys have any
2. From your personal experience, are the faculty truly receptive with open doors, or are they more concerned with their own academc endeavors? More or less I'd like to know how the potetial student-faculty rapport is?
3. How happy are you, overall, with your choice to go there?
Thanks!

I think it's probably only worth it if you have ties to the south and can keep the COA to about 100K or less. So that's what, about a 2/3 ride?michaelm55 wrote:nmcdgt: how much scholarship, in your opinion, would be required to justify attendance at Emory law? Of course the standard answer would be that "it depends on your specific situation". What about your situation? You see the bills (or lack of them because of scholarship), and you see who does and doesn't get a job. Though entirely subjective, what would you say is the financial "cutoff", above which it is unwise to enter Emory? In short, what is emory worth, and what is it not?
One more month until we all start having the "Emory w/ $$ vs T-14/sticker" debate!kayleighcheyenne wrote:About a month(ish) to go!
