"Decision made- watch for email" is the only other status that matters between now and the next nine days. They promised us a 10 day turn around and that is all we will ever know. I can't think of a single positive thing that can come from trying to divine anything out of this whole process. Just relax and do something else other than obsess over stuff that you have no control over and will never understand.

I signed up for CRS after PT invites were sent out so I tried to solicit one but to no avail

Oh well, at least they gave me a fee waiver.

Congrats...I'm a 172/3.73 here. Haven't heard anything yet. Should that be taken as a bad sign? Also, was it just an email?

Just an e-mail. I doubt it is a bad sign. They might be doing them in the order they came in, or alphabetically, or picking them up at random. A bad sign would be a WL or deny email.

It is a top choice, but not the only choice (I mean, on the crazy off chance I get admitted to Harvard...)
