Anyone who was 2/17 - 3/15 still waiting for a response. Most schools were fairly prompt with their WL/Ding emails. Come on Penn .. some closure will be nice.

My guess is that we're all part of the 'probably reject' pile of applicants. Still, might be some hope for us on either the WL or an odd accept here or there. URM probably places you ahead of my pasty whiteness in the ranking of things anyway.

Ah well, that's the way the system works. And who knows, maybe they'll like the title of my MA thesis, it is peripherally related to an old PA supreme court judge.

At least it's some movement.

The 2/17 crowd is the last batch Penn is considering.

As a Feb. 6th submitter, I got my first UR on March 12th.

playing hard to get worked at first, but it's getting old. rapidly losing interest in penn. wondering why berkeley, mich, gulc, uva, and cornell accepted me even though i applied to all of those schools weeks AFTER i applied to penn! frozen at 2/17=probs no scholarship money=probs will be giving up my seat in the unlikely event that penn takes me

Partially, yes. That is what I'm basing my inferrence on. But considering that they are updating another 2/17 batch before delivering a decisions on some from the first lend me to believe that there is a 'maybe accept' pile forming out of our apps. Also, since it looks like there are a few 2/17 people without an update, this means that there is probably a third batch that will undergo the same. My likely inaccurate prediction based on these facts is that the 2/17 group will fully receive their final decisions during the first week of April.

Haha for all our sakes I hope there are a decent number of slots left.

Has anyone in the 2/17 written an LOCI? I was debating but don't want to seem desperate or annoying. On the other hand, penn is supposedly big on expressing interest (Why Penn, etc.)

What do you guys think?
