So I haven't checked my status checker for UIUC. Ever.
Just found the email again and it says ED will receive a decision no later than 12/15/2011. I'm not ED but that seems like a problem for those who are considering they should have heard yesterday.
Also......logged into my status checker and it says "Admit - Status date 10/3/2011" Weird....but I guess I'm in

LSN only has one acceptance. It is an ED acceptance, but I don't know how many people ED to UIUC. That could very well be the only person on LSN who ED'd.

Tis true. I know TLS and LSN aren't very good samples but I'm sure in past years it has been different. Maybe their application numbers really have suffered.

This is likely going to be a weird cycle for UIUC anyway. I wouldn't expect to hold them to any deadlines. I'm definitely interested to see what happens though.

Would really like acceptance because it would be like a two hour drive. Even if I don't decide to go, it would be easy to visit and just make sure it is what I want or don't want.

I have no real info on this, but I would bet they are closed Friday and Monday since it's a public school.

All Illinois public offices will be closed the 24th-26th, 31st-2nd, and the 16th. This is on top of normal weekend office hours/closures. (I am sitting next to the Cook County Clerk of Court Calendar. I would imagine the administration at a public university has the same days off that they do)

i used to work at a university and the entire campus (except for building engineers and cops) was completely closed between christmas eve and the day after new year's. So there was an entire week when no one was working.
edit: it was an illinois university

I finally went from "Complete" to "In Review" today. Random time to do so IMO, considering the holidays are coming up. Maybe there is hope for a last minute round of decisions yet.

In review as of today. I haven't read this thread yet, but I assume we are all really confused about what's going on with this admissions office?

I've been in review since the 13th. I'm actually starting to regret not submitting ED. I would love to go to UIUC, but I don't think i will be able to get in with an RD app. meh, hopefully this all works out.

My reachiest target has now become my last hope. I hope with Pless's leaving they take residency into consideration. That always pissed me off. To be one of the few state schools that takes literally no consideration about residents is kind of BS. Iowa requires 50% residency, and other schools require as much as 75%
Illinois couldn't care less. Come on. Differentiate a bit. You're never catching NW or Chicago. Throw me a damn bone.

Any thoughts on when I'll get a decision? Still in review. I'm not expecting an acceptance, but the options would be nice.

The complete lack of movement is very interesting. I doubt it can last much longer.

Just e-mailed them an addendum on new employment. I just realized that they don't have an admissions e-mail anymore. I had to go to the admin directory and e-mail the director of admissions. I hope my persistence will earn me an acceptance. I would love to go to UIUC preferably with money...
