Anyone have data on applicants from previous years who did the binding ED? I haven't found anything on LSN.

If you're looking for a time-frame I think it's safe to assume that the folks who heard on 12-13 last year on LSN were probably the EDs (there's a handful on there). At this point though it's probably a good idea to just assume that you won't hear anything until the deadline on Thursday.

Yeah but some of those people did not attend which means it was not a binding decision. Is the binding early decision new this year?

I actually do think that it is rather new. According to --LinkRemoved-- there was no ED when this was made. So it has to be relatively new or completely new this year.

Edit: That site was last updated in 2009, and there was no ED according to it at the time.

Yeah I think, as you've figured out, you're right. I kept the old website data from 2009 and it had nothing on it about ED. This'll teach me to pay more attention before opening my mouth.

Wasn't Ed, unfortunately I couldn't pull the trigger on that one, since aid is my #1 priority. I applied early though expecting to see something sooner ...... Just a waiting game now. Anyways GL with UW

To answer some questions: I applied RD in mid October and just got the phone call this afternoon. My online status hasn't updated to admitted yet (still says in review as of 12/1) but on the phone the Dean said that everything will updated online and the letter will be put in the mail in the next few days.

Congrats to everyone else admitted! And for anyone who's been deferred/waitlisted, the student who gave me a tour this summer (who had just found out that he was given a position on law review and had a ballin' internship) was waitlisted and then admitted, and he said that Wisconsin REALLY appreciates when applicants send in LOCI.

So I applied for regular decision on 11/7. I have been complete for a good while. I have not gotten any calls and my status checker still reads as 12/1. I have not received any emails either. Thoughts? FYI I am a URM (Black Male) and I am around the medians.

I think you're fine. It sounds like only a few people have heard- especially considering LSN doesn't show much activity.

This is complete and total conjecture on my part, but I think there is a chance that they are sorting applications received before a certain date by LSAT score and examining those with certain scores first. All three people listed as in on LSN got a 167, and I got a voicemail from the Dean of Admissions (my phone was off all day as I studied for finals in a library/went to classes). I also got a 167. This could all be coincidence, and for all I know the phone call had nothing to do with an acceptance, but that would be a sample size of four admits who all got exactly 167. Again, this is just conjecture on my part, but my hunch is that they are notifying acceptances by LSAT scores, and yours should be coming shortly. Certainly, I wouldn't be overanxious yet.

Good to see a little movement today. I'm really hoping to hear something tomorrow before they leave for the holiday break. Good luck to all the ED's who will for sure hear tomorrow! I know I wont let my phone leave my side all day tomorrow
