Congrats, btw!
It should be $30K a year. Mine is a Provost's Scholarship and had the same wording and when I called they said it was $26K a year. Congratulations that is some serious cash.

If my acceptance email doesn't say anything about scholarship, am I to assume that they want me to pay sticker? Or will scholarship come in a separate email or snail mailing? (I'm out of town for T-day so I don't have access to my mailbox.)

I'm 3.2/166 and people with similar numbers got big scholarship last cycle, so I'm a little puzzled.

Mine was actually in the acceptance e-mail. I would e-mail them, because I'm 3.2/161 and received a scholarship.

Thanks, ginj, I did email them. I got a very prompt reply (on Thanksgiving, no less) from Dean Davis, who remembered my application (and even knew my somewhat unorthodox major) and said that he thought something was amiss and that he'd look into it and get back to me on Monday. I was very impressed, and I hope he has good things to say next week.

Good for you! I hope you get the scholarship you deserve. I'm curious how you worded the email? If I happen to find myself in a similar situation, it seems it would be difficult to word it without coming off in a bad way. You got a positive response though and I'd love to hear your approach.

Congrats!

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know where most law students who attend DU live? How is the COL is Denver?

This is the bulk of what I wrote:

"I was happy to receive notice of my acceptance to Denver University's law school a couple of days ago, and I was hoping you could answer a couple of questions for me. My biggest concern is with financial aid -- are applicants to receive notice of merit awards at a future date, or would such a notice have come with my acceptance letter and would the absence of a scholarship offer indicate that I am expected to pay full price?

If it would help you look up my file, my numbers are:

GPA: 3.22
LSAT: 166
LSAC account number: Lxxxxxxx
DU ID#: xxxxxx

Please let me know at your earliest convenience."

I received another email from Dean Davis this afternoon saying that he identified and corrected the error that had been made and that I would receive official notice of my scholarship award later today.

So, naturally, I'm checking my email obsessively.

Got my revised acceptance letter with scholarship info.

They're offering $21k/year Dean's Scholarship with a 3.0 stipulation.

Definitely better than sticker, but I think it still leaves me a lot to pay. We'll see. I'm really pleased with the way they handled the whole thing, though. That's definitely a plus.

Congrats to you! I just submitted today so I'm sure I'll be waiting a bit with the holidays coming up and everything, but I am excited to have a CO option (hopefully two!)

I think they are probably a little backed up right now because it took a little over a week for mine to go complete according to status checker and I didnt get the email for another 3 days...I cant wait for mine to go blank ha ha ha I love the fact that Denver sends decisions so much earlier than most of my other schools I just wish I had turned my app in a little earlier
