Really? I called LSAC and they said copy and paste from a Word document and retype the punctuation and that should work... It didn't for me lol.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
They are wrong. None of us were able to use punctuation on any of the apps. I wrote mine like this:
2006 XXXXXX Scholar (academic achievement), XXXXXX University Outstanding Scholar for the Class of XXXX (academic achievement), Overseas Research Scholarship (exceptional doctoral work),...
It's the best I could do aesthetically.
Edited - I gave you my first attempt, which didn't work. Fixed now.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Just sent my new application today after withdrawing from waitlist last year.
Good luck to all!
(They are not as busy as I expected this time of year I guess, they requested law school report from LSAC 1 hour after I submitted the app :O)

Submitted on 9/15. I know Harvard is a reach for me (172/3.93) but I have a fairly good PS and good softs... Here's to hoping it's enough!

I wouldn't say it is a 'reach' at all. Best of luck.sdwhodat wrote:Submitted on 9/15. I know Harvard is a reach for me (172/3.93) but I have a fairly good PS and good softs... Here's to hoping it's enough!

You're at Harvard right now, correct? (I admit, I looked at your profile to make sense of your comment.) What year?DoubleChecks wrote: Haha thanks, though I'd rather transfer the 'application luck' to you guys. Not much good here now lol.

2L now (ah the sweet life) -- post EIP/OCI. All gravy from here
If you guys have any questions, feel free to pm me or check out other HLS threads that are around (search harvard in forum search); I've long since tagged those and periodically check.

You're going to regret that offer because if by some miracle I AM accepted, you're going to be getting a lot of questions.DoubleChecks wrote:2L now (ah the sweet life) -- post EIP/OCI. Did it say we would get one? I can't remember if I got one or not after the status checker, but my status checker says "application received" and I know its complete.thederangedwang wrote:has anybody gotten a complete application email yet?

Thank you for applying to Harvard Law School. Once we receive your LSDAS report, we will notify you that either: (1) your application has been "completed" and submitted to the Committee on Admissions for review; or, (2) your application remains "incomplete," noting the missing materials. When all missing materials arrive, we will send notification of completion via email.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Just that I know that I've sent in all the materials I need too. I don't mean they've downloaded it or anything, but its def complete in terms of the application was filled out, the money was paid, the needed addendum were added, all my LORs and transcripts are in, etc. I was trying to say, "No, I haven't received confirmation from the school, this is what my status checker says, but I know its not some abnormal thing to have not heard because I'm 99.9% sure my app is complete despite receiving no confirmation. So don't worry." So I know its complete, not that it is "completed and under review." Hope that makes sense. Sorry for the confusion.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Thank you for applying to Harvard Law School. I don't know if you'll be in the Czech Republic, but in Prague they have internet cafe's all over the place that have free wifi. All you have to do is purchase a beer or coffee. They have Czech cafes, the Starbucks brand, and my personal favorite Coffee Heaven chains.Eichörnchen wrote:Haha I know! I'm considering buying a little netbook or something to stash in my backpack for the sole purpose of admissions obsessions, but Europe doesn't seem to be into the free wifi thing. I'll miss that about the states. I guess it's shell out 10 Euro for an hour in a smoky cafe with spotty connections, or from what I hear, find a McDonald's for wifi. (Irony: being in Europe partly to do some work in sustainable and ecologically friendly food production and having to go to McDonald's. Ehh...)
But it certainly doesn't sound anywhere near as hardcore as your situation! Thanks for the positive vibes though; My LSAT is in 15 days and all of this regarding Harvard will most likely be an entirely moot point.

Any chance a non-URM with a 3.5 gets in with, hypothetically, a 176+ LSAT?

Highly doubtful. With a 3.5, you're most likely shut out of YHS.
A few non-URM acceptances start to trickle in at 3.7+ / high 170s: http://harvard.lawschoolnumbers.com/app ... er=asc&p=3

I was basically positive that that was the case. If I get something crazy high, I might throw a token H app out, but not Y or S.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Highly doubtful. With a 3.5, you're most likely shut out of YHS.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
FWIW, this is what I'm doing, but with a much lower GPA. Last cycle, splitmuch got waitlisted with a 3.09/178, so if I get 176+, I think it's worth a try. Gotta get rejected somewhere, right?JamMasterJ wrote:I was basically positive that that was the case. I threw an app out, but its beyond a hail Mary. And if any school cares about the 166 hanging over our heads its Harvard.JamMasterJ wrote:Any chance a non-URM with a 3.5 gets in with, hypothetically, a 176+ LSAT?

Sent in last night. Status checker this morning. Anyone have experience about when the complete email will come? It said 4-6 weeks in the acknowledgement email and I am not ok with that.

Make sure to send an e-mail to Harvard expressing your vehement disapproval of their admission practices.Curious1 wrote:... I am not ok with that.
