Uggh. Don't know if 600 is reassuring but I guess it is somewhat better. When you called, how were they? I have been getting pretty impatient lately and have been thinking about calling in. I know they said "please don't contact us regarding the status of your application," but I feel like we should be able to be up to speed on what is going on at this point.

new to this forum but a UNC waitlist veteran. Thanks to everyone for their helpful incites/perspectives.

I'm antsy to hear from the admissions staff, as I'd be as happy as anyone to get an offer.

I've talked with the admissions staff a couple of times since being waitlisted and they seem to be accomodating, but (I believe) sincerely unable to provide any specific statistics.

Has anyone from the waitlist been offered admission in the past week?

Offered admission via phone 7/1. Dean States gave me the long weekend to think about it. Called back 7/5 and respectfully declined. According to Dean States, there's no financial aid/scholarships remaining at this point FYI.

Yeah I think there is... last week they said they had ~16 spots... which I thought was a fair number considering it is mid/late-ish july

What are the chances of getting in off the WL during 1L orientation? Students report tomorrow, does anyone just not show up or drop out at the last minute? I want this.

I'm local and ready to enroll.
