Before April 15th. I'm going to double up at UT and USC because I've heard a lot of extra financial aid will come out during the summer.
Oh I'm deciding between UT and USC too. I called today but I couldn't get a clear answer from the person I spoke to. Thanks for the help. Maybe I should double up. I'm not concerned about loans but whoever gives me the most free $ wins because I love both areas. Thanks for the info!

P.S. My sister just had a January beach wedding, and it was 80 degrees. It's a wondrous place... haha.
bahahahahaha... would you rather be a washed up, alcoholic bum next to a barrel full of burning trash in a snowy Boston alley, or next to burning driftwood on Venice beach?
Haha exactly. I think these are the questions we need to be asking ourselves at this time... : )

I just received an email from USC telling me about the financial aid application and such and they said "since I expect that we will begin the process of making USC Law Scholarship awards in the next few days I wanted to encourage you to submit your financial aid documents as soon as possible if you wish to be considered." So it looks like it'll be happening soon!
Score!!!! We hear via e-mail, right? I feel like I read that somewhere.

I asked this a couple pages back, but does anyone know what type of number USC gives scholarships to?

We could have that conversation right now too. Warm is better than cold. Who wants to have the rebuttal?

Anyone else get a call from a student ambassador today? I got a call from a 3L asking if I had any questions. Was a little surprised, but the call was nice.

Whaa? No, I've only gotten letters and e-mails telling me the Department of Homeland Security won't confirm that I am a U.S. Citizen. Gotta go to Social Security Administration tomorrow to sort this out. Ugh.

It wasn't from the Admissions Dept. An alumni of the school offered it. Just another set of awesome contacts at the University of Texas. They're T14 now you know.

Is T14 still T14? That's the question.

Just submitted my scholarship application. I was away from a computer when I received the email/notification to apply for it, hope that's okay.

If I were to get a reasonable package to USC I would really consider taking it. I'm yearning for California.

I got a letter in the mail today from USC. I was hoping it was scholarship information... Instead it was a formal letter informing me that I am not one of the Rothman finalists haha. Bummer! I had pretty much gathered this anyway (as others mentioned they had been notified that they were finalists).

Did anyone receive the same letter recently?

Also, would alternative scholarship information have come with this letter if I were to receive a scholarship?

Thanks, guys!

I've been obsessively checking the financial aid site to see if they've given out any awards. I'm not sure if they'll notify us that they're done with the process through e-mail or something though.

Checking in. Got a letter from USC a few days ago. Got my hopes up that it would be scholarship info, but it was just asking me to submit forms that I'd already submitted. :|

Same here. I actually submitted the forms wayyy before they sent that letter so it was weird.

Grats!

I would love to visit USC, as a broken collarbone limited my options during my last LA visit in Feb. Does anyone know if USC offers travel stipends to attend their Law Day or other ASD's?
Did you ever find out?

Gah these wait times for USC are ridiculous. I'm putting a seat deposit down at the UT ASW unless USC sends out scholarship info before then. I'm sick of waiting. I got all of my UT info in November.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
