So would they care about my grad school grade update? My GPA and softs are the only things keeping me here I am sure. Obviously my softs weren't enough, and I graduated already.

Sounds like you had an amazing semester, philly, and I don't see why you couldn't show it off even if it's grad school grades. Can't hurt!

I know it can't hurt, and I sent it already. I just wonder if it will really give me a little lift. I really want in, but know that it is a very very tall task.

We'll never know, but at least you'll feel good having done all you could.

Can we have additional LORs be submitted by mailing it in (as mentioned for LOCIs), or do they have to go through LSAC. I am going to ask someone to write one who wasn't on fole for my others and really gear it to Harvard.

I'm pretty sure someone in the Held thread last year included the LOR in their LOCI mailing directly to HLS. If I remember correctly, they had their professor seal and sign the flap of the LOR envelope and then wrote their name and LSAC # on the front. Apparently HLS lets you send LORs directly to them if you've surpassed the limit for LORs allowed on LSAC. This person didn't actually surpass the limit but elected to send it directly to them anyway.

Yeah but since my grades only went up one hundredth of a point this semester I don't think my transcript is really going to help me. And I might send in a rec letter from one of my supervisors, but I don't see how that's really going to do anything. And I don't want them to think I'm uninterested if all is silent. So basically that just means they're going to get letter number 1,000,001 that I would still be interested in attending Harvard.

I think at this point we should do as much as we can to coddle these schools....even Harvard. It's nice to show an effort that we really want to go to HLS for other reasons, and not simply that it's Harvard.

Mind you, at this point I'm considering sending a letter of continued begging (for admission) as opposed to contiued interest. I still feel stupid for sending a letter though.

I completely agree....although I just sent off my LOCI today, now I'm back to impatiently waiting and twiddling my thumbs for another uhm....... 2, 3,4 MONTHS!!!

Has anyone faxed an LOR in? I'm debating whether to snail mail it to LSAC or fax it directly to them. In the interest of time, I'm leaning more towards the latter method but not sure how reliable it is. Thanks!

I snail mailed all of mine but the last one. I was so ready to submit and be done that I had it faxed. As far as I can tell, it is not a problem. In fact, mine showed up the same day it was faxed, so I found this to be a pretty awesome way to do it.

Thanks for answering so awesomely fast! Yeah, that's exactly my mindset right now...just be done with it. Unfortunately I have just asked my professor so it will probably take another week or two before the LOR is even done. But looks like that's more of a reason to just get it faxed and off my mind!!

I do not know what this says about my life, but you are welcome!

Also, make sure you do not run up too close to school deadlines. I suppose if you have submitted it will be OK, but either way I would not want to chance them getting angry waiting on a LOR.

You're talking about the Feb. 1st deadline, right? Yeah, I'd hate to even vaguely annoy/pester HLS adcoms right now so treading carefully. On the other hand, I also can't annoy the prof who has agreed to write me a LOR on such a short notice.

I don't want to do this and come off as an asshole......but, if you want Harvard, you're going to have to retake. Your GPA is not high enough to make up for your LSAT. A fifth letter of rec is not going to help you at all.
