Re: How many schools have you heard from? How many left to go?
sent last application on 12/3
applied to 17
heard from 7
in at 6 ( 3 with scholarships)
WL at 1
Withdrew before hearing a decision from 4
If I dont hear from the rest by mid february- will be withdrawing appliactions ( these are my reaches, and it will be a long shot that I attend them anyways)
Looking back, I should have taken some time to make a list, rank and weigh each school. and only apply to 10 or so. Even though I got a lot of fee waivers ( why I applied to so many) I could have saved $84, plus my time and the schools time.

Applied to 20, heard back from 4 (Accepted at 3 of my safeties, WL at 1 of my target/reaches). This waiting is driving me crazy I would really like to know where I will be living 7 months from now.

What is up with every school being behind schedule this year? Is a later December LSAT really that big of a deal???

It's getting a bit crazy with the waiting, but I'm a Dec applicant. I can't imagine how it is for people in Sept/Oct who are still pending at a lot of schools.

Re: How many schools have you heard from? How many left to go?
+1. I have heard from half, but I think schools aren't concerned that we have little time to decide where we will be living once we have heard from all of them. Though I put my apps in in November, I think the wait for still pending Sep/Oct candidates is absurd. They put their apps in early to know early. The schools could at least give a decision to those people first.krad wrote:This !!rbarcelo9 wrote:Applied to 20, heard back from 4 (Accepted at 3 of my safeties, WL at 1 of my target/reaches). I wish you were on UVA's adcomm. They apparently do not subscribe to this way of thinking.DCLaw11 wrote:+1. I'm curious to know why it takes so long as well. Does the quality of applicants decline/improve over time ? Is the applicant pool who submits in November or December noticeably different from Sep/October? Why am I under review at schools that I'm a toss up but sitting at complete at schools where i'm at 90-100 % according to LSAC?

Re: How many schools have you heard from? How many left to go?
I applied to 10, all in early December.
I have heard back from ONE, albeit with a very large scholarship.
NADA from the other 9. *banging head into wall*

Re: How many schools have you heard from? How many left to go?
It is so frustrating! I applied in November last year and had multiple acceptances/waitlists/rejections by now. This year, I applied to lower ranked schools in September and just got my first decision yesterday!bdubs wrote:What is up with every school being behind schedule this year? Re: How many schools have you heard from? How many left to go?
Applied to 26
Heard from 0 (five decisions in the mail)
My problem was applying before receiving my LSAT score. My actual score was 6 points higher than my practice test so I had to apply to new places to readjust my strategy. Plus getting a good scholarship is more important to me than location.
I don't feel bad for applying to the fee waiver schools cause they emailed me and asked me to apply. If they didn't want people applying on a whim, then they wouldn't spam us with emails.

Re: How many schools have you heard from? How many left to go?
I applied to 36 schools last week--have a unique background and figured, go big or go home. Actually I'm just really unsure how my app will perceived--it's unusual.
Have had 1 admit so far, which I am thrilled about. Should hear from 3 more schools in the next two weeks. Who knows how long the rest will take (ok, probably not longer than 2 months).
