When did you go complete? I can't imagine it would hurt to check on things with a friendly email or phone call. I had to contact them regarding my file after I received my status checker and I received a prompt response. If I were in your situation I would probably contact the person who sent you the email regarding the 6-8 week decision window.tony1003 wrote:Should i contact them if I do not receive a decision by friday? Re: Seattle University 2011
Just got an email offering me a $250 stipend to visit during an official visit day. I'm actually going this week unofficially, so it's kind of a bummer! =(
But that leaves an open spot for one of you to get the stipend (they're only giving 20, according to the email), so good luck!

Thanks for the help I think I will contact them just to see where my application is. I just don't want to sound impatient.

Had to call admissions this morning - applied mid-January and hadn't received my status checker, even though I got in touch with them a month ago. Seems they just forgot to send it. Interesting. Thankfully I didn't log in and find that I was rejected.
Hoping to hear soon!
Does anyone know if SU tends to treat OOS applicants much differently than IS applicants? I am OOS but would love to get accepted here.

I don't think they really have a bias for in-state applicants. I know a whole bunch of OOS applicants including myself that got in. Did you guys hear about the grading change at Seattle U? Median will now be around 3.1 up from 2.89. This is making Seattle U more tempting for me because most of the time, firms don't even look at apps that are below a 3.0 unless you have connections.am0rfati wrote:Had to call admissions this morning - applied mid-January and hadn't received my status checker, even though I got in touch with them a month ago. If that is true, that is great news. I had heard complaints about their relatively low curve before.

I've been complete since 1/13. So it's been the full 8 weeks for me too. I'm hoping to hear something tomorrow. I don't think I can take the waiting anymore.

Re: Seattle University 2011
I can officially say that I will be attending SU starting in June! I was rejected today from UW, the only other school I applied to. I never really expected to be accepted to UW, but it's nice to now be able to start planning for SU. I'm actually heading over there on Saturday to check out the campus and get a better feel for everything. I don't know if it has quite hit me yet that I will be starting law school in a few months, but I cannot wait to begin working towards my future.
I look forward to seeing some of you there!

For those of you still waiting, the rumors about status checker are true. It seems to change in the evening of ANY night now. Was admitted last night. Also, I called them on Tuesday and they said, unlike others posting here, that most files were taking at least 10 weeks to review. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!

Anyone else apply for part time? I am around their median numbers, just wanted to know what PT applicants they are looking for this year.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
