Mine was blank on 1/20/11 as well, but then it changed to "diversity day 1.29.11 invitation", which I received in an e-mail. They need to fire whichever admin updates these things. Showing a mailing date without a description is not funny.

I've applied to all CA schools and finally heard back from one yesterday. Do all California schools work this slowly?
Yeah California schools seem to take forever. I have been accepted to 12 out of state schools, but only heard back from 3 California schools (and I only heard back from UCLA because I applied early decision).

I guess the laid back attitude applies to everyone in CA. McGeorge recently changed my "Complete" status date from 12/15 to 1/19. Who do they put in charge of these status checkers? It's not that hard to maintain.Phatslice wrote:sanjola wrote:I submitted 9/22, went "Complete" 10/17, went "Complete and In Review" on 12/13 and I still haven't gotten a decision.

Sigh. Been in review for nearly 3 weeks now. I think what they meant was "In the pile of apps we're going to review as soon as we're done with these 3 piles of apps that we're going to review pretty soon."

Re: Southwestern 2011
I got accepted 3 years ago into the SCALE program and had a interview prior to that. I met with Professor Rolnick - a REALLY sweet lady. In my case there was nothing to be afraid of! The interview was in a cafeteria where we had coffee. Mrs. Rolnick was asking me some questions, primarily about my life, and she was actually trying to make me feel better about the SCALE program, since I had certain doubts that I should do it (I am foreign and English is my second language, so I was not sure that SCALE was the right choice for me in the first place). She gave me a lot of time to think it over (like 2-3 weeks, I think). Eventually I wrote her back saying that I was interested in the SCALE program, and several days later I received an acceptance package. I didn't go to school that year through some personal reasons, that's why I am applying againballboy899 wrote:anyone who has been accepted get a call to set up a SCALE interview? anyone have any idea what they're like or if anyone has seen a thread from a previous year discussing them?

Thanks a lot for that. I'm having a phone interview with Professor Rolnick because I live on the east coast. Do you remember in your acceptance package if you got a scholarship offer then? Because I haven't received any information on a scholarship yet, and from my understand, only some people are chosen for the SCALE interview so I hope a have a decent shot at some $
If you did, how much did you get and what are your numbers if you don't mind saying?

Re: Southwestern 2011
My LSAT was 158, and GPA - 3.84 (from a foreign university). I am a little bit non-traditional, because I already have 2 Master degrees, and I am older than the majority of applicants. I didn't get any scholarship, and I think that one of the factors could be that in my application I indicated that I was also applying to Loyola, USC and UCLA. All these schools have a much higher ranking than Southwestern, and at SW they see that even if (big IF) these other schools accept me, they won't give me any scholarship. So they think that they don't have to do it eitherballboy899 wrote:

Thanks a lot! And I really hope I can get something, although after what you said I'm not too confident now because I have similar numbers. But we'll just have to see I guess. If anyone else hears anything about this and wants to pm me or post on here I would greatly appreciate it!LegallyPumpkin wrote:My LSAT was 158, and GPA - 3.84 (from a foreign university). I also forgot to mention that my friend was accepted to SW (3 years ago) with LSAT 156, GPA almost 4.0 from UC Berkley, and a stellar recommendation from his professor. He got some $$, though I don't know how much exactly.

Status went from "File Complete and In Review: 12/13/10" to "File Complete and In Review : 1/26/11".
Does this mean they finally picked up my file and I will be receiving a decision by next week?

I had my Wildman/ Schumacher Scholarship interview today, it was very laid back and more like a conversation which was nice. I talked to Robert Mena who is the Assistant Director of Student Affairs and he was really, really nice. He basically asked why law school/why Southwestern/asked some stuff about my personal statement/talked about the school for a while and then asked if I had any questions.
I think I'm going to schedule a trip to go visit the campus/LA in general, has anyone visited yet?

That's what happened for me, I went from complete and in review on 1/7/11 to complete and in review on 1/20/11 and then got accepted the next day.sanjola wrote:Status went from "File Complete and In Review: 12/13/10" to "File Complete and In Review : 1/26/11".

I am going to ease your anxiety and say I went complete early October and in review since mid-December with nothing.sanjola wrote:Great, now my anxiety has reached new levels.stargazer3620 wrote:That's what happened for me, I went from complete and in review on 1/7/11 to complete and in review on 1/20/11 and then got accepted the next day.sanjola wrote:Status went from "File Complete and In Review: 12/13/10" to "File Complete and In Review : 1/26/11".

Exactly my point. Stats don't tell the whole story, so applicants shouldn't despair prematurely just because they think their stats don't measure up.LegallyPumpkin wrote:Then you probably had some other talents or did something that they considered importantchango wrote:
