My real #s are well above both 75s . I submitted the second week of october and heard the day the first batches came out. Scholarship offer of 25k a year contingent on a 3.15 came in the mail with the acceptance letter. Good luck to anyone waiting to hear! If you want more details pm me!lawschool12345 wrote:for those accepted, what were your numbers? any scholarships?

Re: Villanova 2011
Hey all
Applied to Villanova and am still waiting, my LSAC fee waiver is holding up my applications -- wish I had done it earlier, but hindsight is 20/20.
160/3.69 for me, and I'm a nontraditional student in the LGBT community, took two years off to "find myself" and volunteered with Americorps.
Good luck to everyone! I live in Philly now and it's a really nice place to live/work/go to school.

I was above both medians and above 75 for GPA, got a 20k offer in mail, same GPA requirement. Also went complete mid-October and heard in first round of decisions (12/17). Good luck everyone, hopefully for everyone's sanity they release more decisions soon! Happy to give more info in PM also.lawgrl21 wrote:My real #s are well above both 75s . accepted 12/17 with a 163 and a 3.8. i didn't get any scholarship info with my letter though, which i thought was the norm for villanova. i'm kind of disappointed now to hear about these offers b/c i was hoping for at least a little bit of money.

Those are strong numbers for Nova. Might be work asking about merit scholly consideration. I don't know what all is considered in scholly decisions, but you're above both medians.sprewell wrote:accepted 12/17 with a 163 and a 3.8. i didn't get any scholarship info with my letter though, which i thought was the norm for villanova. i'm kind of disappointed now to hear about these offers b/c i was hoping for at least a little bit of money.

First, let me say I love Nova, second I'm a UG here and if VLS is anything like the undergrad, Villanova just does things in their own way in their own sweet time haha rhyme and reason will probably not be found, but it's worth it!

When I visited, Nova gave me a very "high school" atmosphere.

Do many people live in the city and commute?

I see a fair number of people getting off the train every morning. I'm not sure why people opt to live in the city though, unless you don't have a car. Housing costs are going to be about the same, and don't kid yourself on having a social life and "experiencing" the city after the first 2 months of 1L.kk19131 wrote:beach_terror wrote:Yeah, that's an accurate feel. Re: Villanova 2011
Im an UG who commutes from within the city (Northeast though, so a LOT further then the typical UG who would live in Manayunk/Roxborough parts of South philadelphia with a 20 min driving commute. I do not know a lot of people who live in the city, since like the poster said above, the cost of living is not much different if not more in the city. My fiance works for the city, hence why I'm stuck living in NE Philly.beach_terror wrote:I see a fair number of people getting off the train every morning. Finally in review after being complete since 11/23. Hopefully this will mean a decision in the near future, but with the way things have gone so far I'm hesitant to get my hopes up.

I will be withdrawing from VLS. 7 point jump on the LSAT crosses it off the list.

Went complete 12/7 and still waiting to go under review ... hoping for $$! A good enough scholarship would make Nova close to my #1!

I have been waiting for a response from Nova Southeastern University since October. My LSAT score came in in November... 151/3.65 . All other schools accepted me with decent sized scholarships. Nova's applicant's service is the worst I have seen. Still waiting!lawschool12345 wrote:im above the median and the 75th but a little below the median for lsat, is this a bad sign for nova

I think you're in the wrong thread. Villanova is nicknamed Nova in the northeast.shoegal82 wrote:I have been waiting for a response from Nova Southeastern University since October.
