Were you one of the early rejects in the UT thread? Well, this is a big "F U" to them! Haha!
UT, if you read this, I would love to get in. Thanks.

I was the earliest reject that I know of this cycle. But yeah, I'm actually glad that I got dinged right away rather than deferred/waitlisted, so that I actually ended up taking the ED plunge.

Yeap. Talk about a pretty sweet silver lining! Good luck at GTown.

I live in Houston and am gonna apply to University of Houston. Its my top choice, since I wouldn't have to relocate and could just drive to school every day. People say its in the worst part of the university because it is the only place that hasn't been renovated yet, the parking lot is still patches of broken concrete, and the law school has a pretty bland exterior.
I'm going to apply sometime in the coming week, since I'm waiting on my LSAT anyway, I doubt it would do any good to apply right at this moment.
The school is very bland....and crime is high in the area, but they are starting to improve this!

They're starting to improve the crime rate in "tha tre"? I'm curious about this...

Complete early November, UR 11/29. I feel like Houston has the best career options straight out of law school for my sub-UT numbers, so I'm really crossing my fingers. Anyone agree with that?

I don't know what are your numbers? I'm thinking UH might be my only realistic shot at another acceptance right now.

Same. UH is probably hands down my top choice right now. I'd rather go there than the hail mary I threw at W&M or OSU.

I've heard from several people that sometimes the longer you're in review, the more likely you'll get an acceptance. I think this probably applies only to those with borderline numbers. Thoughts?

just noticed my application to UH lists my state as FM (Federation of Micronesia) instead of FL

Yeah I think you then get accept/waitlist. I don't know too many people who waited for four months and then got a strait deny.
I wonder if UH is debating what to do with their median LSAT this year. If they think they can move up a point, this may explain the long delay.

I wouldn't be surprised if they started admitting tomorrow or the 16th, especially since recommendations and such don't have to be in until December 15th for ED candidates. just a thought...

That's a pretty valid point, I think. It seems like many will hear during January.
