Re: Ohio State 2011 Applicants
Just sent in my application last night. I'm wanting to move back to Ohio (from Cincinnati) so OSU is definitely near the top of my list...
Didn't think I'd worry much about the process once I sent my app in, though I've already checked the status checker 3 times to see if I've gone complete ...
...
still nothing

I applied a couple of days ago and am now complete and under review. I received an e-mail today with log-in information to the Professional Admissions Office website, with an OSU ID number and temp password. Has anyone else gotten this e-mail? As far as I can tell, the website is just OSU's version of an application status checker.

Really? They've changed that since last year. We just had the standard LSAC status checker.queenlizzie13 wrote:Yes that is the email I received as well. We have the standard LSAC checker as well. But we also have a PeopleSoft checker.TTH wrote:Really? They've changed that since last year. If you are above both medians, $12k a year. If you are above the LSAT median and close to the GPA median, $11,000 a year or at least some $$. That's how they do things unless you are a URM.saito816 wrote:I'm in, the original email said deposit due in 3 weeks, but then they sent an updated email to say it's not due until May 1. I'm pretty pumped. Incidentally does anyone know how generous OSU is with financial aid? Texas game me a pretty decent scholarship, so I'm hoping for the best. I really wouldn't mind staying in Ohio (as odd as that sounds)

I dropped by the campus B&N today to buy a Moritz shirt! My thought was, "the kids will all be home for Thanksgiving, so it should be easy to find parking and get in and out!" I clearly forgot to factor for the crowds getting ready for tomorrow's Michigan game.

This may have been answered, but was "File Completed, Under Review" the first status everyone got? I can't believe they're reviewing my app one day after submitting it.

Yup. Then it just stays like that until you get a decision (at least I think so).The Gentleman wrote:This may have been answered, but was "File Completed, Under Review" the first status everyone got? I can't believe they're reviewing my app one day after submitting it.

Though, to their credit, they did send a decision within 8 weeks of that UR date. I was afraid I'd have to wait until late-February.

Yeah, if their previous decision release cycle holds the next batch should be going out in a couple week (probably the Dec 13-17) I think.
Yes, I spend WAY too much time with Ohio State LSN data.

They do both. The Status Checker changes and they send an email. Others were getting emails and I hadn't so I checked the status checker and it changed to Admitted - Congratulations.
