As of 5/5/10
Accepted Attending - 10
Accepted No Action - 76
Accepted withdrawn - 120
Wait List – 114
New updates:
Some new rejects, not adding anything to our running totals.
If we add the accepted attending not counted on LSN we get
1. pearl_earrings
2. chunge88830
3. LovesPinkandPearls
4. MHutson41
5. Quine
6. iCrank
7. Borachio05
8. rad law
9. mstich
10. blueberrymuffin
11. MF248
12. chizUFL
13. beesknees
Don't know if any of these people have alternative LSN ID's. I can do +13 to our 10. What do you guys think?

there are 109 people on the roommate list for the 2013 class, which doesn't count any of the people (like myself) who are attending but not looking for a roommate. So that should give you a rough idea of how many spots could conceivably be open in a class of about 190

Sounds like a lot to me.

I bet a lot of those 109 are on wait lists at other places, and if you say half of 109 is not on the roommate list, you still are only at 155ish, with 35 spots to fill. I really doubt another 81 people are not on the roommate list.

Looking for a roommate prior to the second deposit deadline (across all schools) doesn't give me too much worry. Okay, it gives me worry, but not THAT much.

I don't think Vandy has a 2nd deposit. The enrollment confirmation is due in late July. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing, exactly, for your cause (probably neither, just potentially annoying, since people trying to get off the waitlist will be inclined to let it ride a lot longer).

There will be a first wave WL pick up I think in a few weeks and then some of us will have to wait till august for the second one.

Definitely, I am expecting a round in early June and then stragglers closer to go-time in August.

Kind of how I read the WL letter not logic based though, just looked at last year's vandy thread. Sorry about grammar I'm on my phone.
You got full ride at wash U right? You going to take vandy if they offer?

i think it would lean towards taking wustl 60-40; it would be a tough choice since IBR makes me feel more secure about going to vandy at sticker, plus I'm from the south and went to undergrad here so i'd be doubling down on my connections in this region.

SO, being on the conservative side- would you guys agree that at least 30 offers will be made from the wl in the first wave??

Me too. And with the 109 on the roommate list, I think it's clear a lot of ppl aren't posting on lsn

That list probably has a few on their that are double-deposited too, so there might be couple more withdraws from there. I'll get the real low down when I visit on the 12th.

you're right...i don't find continuing school in chapel hill to be very attractive, but i also don't want to work long-term in north carolina.

FYI I am still on Vanderbilt's waitlist, I am committed to Emory, but haven't withdrawn yet out of curiosity.
Edit: when do they start pulling from the WL?
double Edit: I might stay at this post count for a while

you can pm me if you want. i don't think there's anything wrong with nc. i just wanted to try to live in a completely new place.that's actually a reason why i don't think it's worth it for me to try to wait it out on vandy's waitlist. if i went to vandy it's very possible i could end up back in north carolina. not a bad thing in the least, especially if i actually had a job lined up, but working in nc is not what i would prefer.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
