Re: UC Davis Waitlist 2010
They gave me seven days, and on that date or earlier, I am to pay both deposits: the first one (250), and the second one (500) that just passed.

Any movement?
I'm assuming everyone was given the weekly deposit deadline, so maybe we can expect movement on the waitlist weekly (after deposits from waitlisters are in)?? Although that's probably too much to ask. Maybe every other week...

I wonder if everyone who was regularly accepted has passed their deposit deadline.

Yes.... the last deposit deadline was June 15th. Most people who were accepted regularly had this deadline. Except maybe those who were accepted later in May.cali gal wrote:I wonder if everyone who was regularly accepted has passed their deposit deadline.

I hope this slow movement on the waitlist doesn't mean most of the seats are filled...

it probably does. i think for most of us, it is time to let our davis dreams go. i went ahead and got an apartment in santa clara. move on. the chances are probably like 1% that you'll get in now.cali gal wrote:I hope this slow movement on the waitlist doesn't mean most of the seats are filled...

Davis has a smaller entering class, it moved up into the T30 rankings (not that it really makes a difference, but it does sway some people), and there have been a lot of applicants this cycle.Foosters Galore wrote:This guy kinda seems like he sucks. Probably not the best situation for those of us on the waitlist.

I'm getting worried BUT I know that there's a shuffle right until the end so I'm crossing my fingers.

Re: UC Davis Waitlist 2010
Last year Davis had three rounds of going to the waitlist. Right about this time in June, late July, and then orientation week. I'm not sure it's time to give up yet. Although if you all want to withdrawl... that's fine with me!

yeah...or i'm just the only one being realistic here. don't get me wrong, I'd love for all of us to be taken off the waitlist. But it's almost July, and if you don't start making other plans, then you're pretty dumb.Foosters Galore wrote:This guy kinda seems like he sucks. Yeah I know man. I was just kidding around. Your practical and realistic take was just jarring to this previously overly-optimistic thread. I'm hoping davis calls on me, just as I hope for peace in the middle east or finding a cure for mesothelioma.

Re: UC Davis Waitlist 2010
the comforting thought should be this:
if you were good enough to get put on the waitlist, then you were probably good enough to get into some decent schools.
I got into Utah, San Francisco, San Diego, McGeorge, and Santa Clara. I'm going to Santa Clara and I have no problems with that (although I'd much rather be in Davis). But oh well, there are worse fates in life.

I got merit money at King Hall, and a WL at Utah......go figure. Why aren't you moving to Salt Lake? In state tuition for 2/3L years can make it a pretty good deal.Free-Market wrote:the comforting thought should be this:

Does Davis usually dip far into their waitlist?

Is the Davis Status Check website not working for anyone else. It currently says "Updated Last: 3/4/2009 9:18:24 AM" and my log in information does not work.
