Faculty Review. The Dean doesn't make a decisionon you, but sends you to FR so some students/professors can decide.

UR 10/19, dinged today via e-mail... 163/3.84, so it wasn't surprising, but it still hurts a lot... dreamt of going to Berkeley since I started thinking about law school... :(

What?! Veritas?! I'll never let go, Jack. Seriously, what happened?

I step away for literally 6 hours and this is what happens?

Oh, wow, how unfortunate. This thread is dead without you :( . Good luck at UCLA or whatever your number 2 is.

Sorry Ver.....

We need one person from this group to get either an acceptance or FR notification so we all have hope. Right now it is almost like we all are just being brought before the firing squad at different times

Seriously, Veritas is/was this thread. I'm really sorry...seriously, best of luck!

That said, I'm really glad I survived this last bout of rejections (and yes, I checked my spam box).

This. Which is why I made the Titanic reference. All of my measured optimism is slowly dissolving into bitter pessimism. I really hope Dean Tom isn't slowly rejecting us in small waves. That seems... cruel.

There must be a reason to hold onto us. I'm sure there will be admits, rejects, and FR among us still being held. Dean Tom just wants to hold us to see the entire pool, and keep the power to make the decision himself (rather than give that power over to the FR).

I'm with you guys. I'm all for hoping Berkeley is as holistic in its admissions process as it says it is... but after seeing all these great candidates get rejected, I'm a little less inclined to believe its true. Does anyone have any idea when the second round of FR is expected to go out? My only hope is that my super liberal, PI personal statement was enough. UR 11/2... still holding on :?

Yup. My thought is that we are all going to get either FR or admit.

Haha I like your thinking. Is this based on a hunch or previous cycles? Either way both options sound good to me!

Hunch. Based on the previous cycle, at this point in time every not in FR by 2nd batch was rejected (but there was an admit batch the first week of Feb which we havn't seen yet).

Well fingers crossed for that admit batch... I'm banking on my PS bc my lsat would definitely rule me out based on the LSN graphs for this cycle thus far.
