Updated from 02/19 to 02/22 also... I'm nervous...does it change to decision rendered or are we just surprised with an email/letter?

I assume that we are all hoping not to get emails when our status' update, correct? I think emails are rejects/waitlists and letters are acceptances?

2/19 --> 2/22 also. Hopefully this means the DR will be before 2/26, not on 2/26 like I expected.

1/19---->2/22. I have a few questions.

1. I was thinking of sending them an email asking if they received my LOCI(which I sent in a month ago). Do you think this is a bad idea because they already viewed my app today? I just want to double check if its there because it really makes a difference.

2. I didn't receive an email or anything of the sort today. Good news?

3. Will they tell us our decision on the status checker or will it only say DR and they will send the decision via snail mail? Won't we know if under fees it says 1st seat deposit and 2nd seat deposit due by such and such time with the amount listed?

In reference to #1, I would go ahead and e-mail them...when I sent my LOCI, I got an e-mail back saying they had received it and added it to my file, so if yu didn't get that confirmation, I'd check - can't hurt

As far as #2, I'm certainly hoping it's good news (I'm in the same boat, lol)

For #3, from what I've heard, it only says DR and you have to wait via snail mail...Some people have been "testing" the system by trying to log into the admitted student site once they go DR, but it's not necessarily 100% reliable (some people who were admitted had trouble getting into the site)

Preferred Waitlist....via email...just now....

updated from midDec --> 2/19 ---> 2/22

Status checker now says DR (2 minutes after the email....)

Probably would pick UChicago over Georgetown anyways...but i would have been nice to have Georgetown as a solid option....I may end up withdrawing...
