U.S. DOJ LA Strike Force - CA Bar License?

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Oct 04, 2024 2:31 pm

Does anyone here know if US DOJ criminal healthcare strikeforce trial attorneys based out of Los Angeles must be licensed to practice law in California?

Most federal attorneys don’t need to be licensed in each state, but I know C.D. California is an odd duck where they require all the AUSAs to be licensed in California—I think it stems from the local rules.

I’m curious if that also applies to main justice attorneys who practice in Central District California regularly and can’t just pro hac in.

I’m interested in applying but am not licensed in CA.
