Has anyone gotten an offer from OCIJ? I've yet to hear from anyone who did but one person on this threat said that they've heard of offers going out. Just hoping to confirm, thanks.

HP EOIR-OCIJ...Is anyone who has received an offer willing to share what city the offer is for? I'm a finalist, but I haven't received an offer. Still hopeful.

Fed Programs and EDCA have met their hiring goals.

Do we think this means that first rounders are called the day the division designates finalists? I’m waiting on CRT.

For anyone waiting on OCIJ, I got my offer Tuesday, November 28. However, I didn't get a phone call, just an email. They gave me until December 18 to accept, so I imagine more offers will trickle out around that time based on whether people accept or decline.

Also got an offer from OCIJ on the 28th. I'm currently an Honors Attorney for EOIR, so I can tell you that a lot of people decline their offer from OCIJ (mostly for other offers from EOIR). Like another poster mentioned, OCIJ will have trickling movement throughout the months.

Waiting to hear back from another division and I feel like that's what happened, nothing else explains a 2-week wait.

At least some CRT offers came out the day finalists were designated.

Does anyone know if it makes a difference at all to reaffirm interest during this process? I would if it was a firm but I wasn’t sure if gov hiring is different.

I can’t imagine it’s going to make any difference, honestly. (Although I don’t think it makes a difference for firms, either.) Employers assume you’re interested because you applied. And they will likely have made their decisions by this point, since finalists have been designated and (some) offers have gone out.

It won’t hurt you if you want to check in, but it’s extremely unlikely to make any difference at all.

Are things moving slower this year? By the 29th of last year, at least some components had already finished meeting hiring goals.
A lot of federal hiring is really behind schedule this year when compared to prior threads :/
People have two weeks to accept an offer, and several components offered on the 17th, so I imagine we will see things filling up tomorrow or Monday.
Well, it's EoD Wednesday and this hasn't happened to a great extent

Honestly, I think in many cases people accept on the spot. When the component gets acceptances on their offers, and when they announce meeting hiring goals through Deana, aren't necessarily the same thing.

Anyone know what the salary is for those coming into OCIJ with a two-year clerkship? I should be eligible for GS-13, but I have been given a tentative offer at GS-12. And I don't know if it's because I haven't completed my two-years yet, or if it's because OCIJ simply does not give offers at GS-13.

I’m not sure of OCIJ’s policy. But I was in the same position as you and I asked the hiring contact and they assured me that once I completed my second year I’d be eligible for GS 13. I would send an email back to clarify!

Not OCIJ, but I accepted an offer with another division with two years of clerking, and they offered me GS-13 in my tentative offer letter.

My understanding is that you'd come in as a GS-11 and once you pass the bar and after 6 months on the job, you'd be GS-12, and then after a year or so GS-13?

OP here, for more context I'm currently doing a two-year honors program with another component in EOIR. We did in fact enter at GS-11, and after being barred we were promoted to GS-12. I know that you enter at GS-13 for your second honors program with other components in EOIR, but was specifically told that all honors attorneys stay at GS-12 for OCIJ. I was just wondering if anyone happened to have heard otherwise, because this seems to make no sense.

For those that applied to ATF, has there been any movement? Did anyone get a notification their app was forwarded?

Does anyone know if there’s a way to contact Deanna directly/privately to ask about a department’s hiring status?
